Come share in the spirit of Portlandia in our two bedroom apartment! Enjoy being on several major bus lines, 20 minutes from downtown and within walking distance of hip shopping districts and breweries all while having a quiet place to recharge.

The Space

Our cozy place is on two major roads, making getting to different parts of town really easy. We live within walking distance of the very fun Hawthorne District and the up and coming Division Street.

Guest Access

There's a communal living room and kitchen, and the balcony is of course available to use on those sunny days! Your room is modest, with a comfortable futon, some closet space to hang clothes and shelves/ drawers to store other belongings. Full bath (shared with hosts) with supreme water pressure is a great way to unwind or wake up- whatever your pleasure is. We also have wi-fi and a few untraditional Portland travel guides to help make your trip as special as possible.

Interaction with Guests

We are very busy people and will be coming and going, but are always willing to answer questions, make recommendations and to ensure that you're enjoying Portland! This is the very reason why we love traveling on Airbnb, since so many have done the same for us. Please note that Caitlin works night shift as a nurse, so on certain days, being very quiet between 9 am and 5 pm will be necessary so she can sleep.

*** If you'd like to stay with us, please be sure to have a fully completed profile with information about yourself and a good photo of your face- we like to know who is coming into our home! Also, we would like to know your anticipated arrival time, so please include it. We do not accept arrivals after 9 pm without prior arrangement. Due to allergies, we cannot accept guests who smoke cigarettes. ***

We look forward to hosting you soon!

  • Amanda and Caitlin were awesome hosts. They have lots of great advice about restaurants and sight seeing. The room was clean and had plenty of space for our belongings( and we had a lot of belongings). It's so close to Hawthorne st which has more restaurants and shops than you can imagine. I'd stay with them before even considering a Hotel.

  • Caitlin and Amanda were kind and helpful hosts! It was a great place to start my cross country trip, the appartment is clean and really well located for easy access to good spots in the city. I'd recommend it as a good spot to base yoursrtelf for exploring Portland!

  • Caitlin and Amanda were very friendly. Their private room was extremely accommodating -- a desk for work, book shelves of leisure reading, and a basket of light toiletries like soap and lotion. Caitlin had an expansive wealth of knowledge about the ins and outs of Portland, as well as for hiking trails. Our only regret is not being able to sit down and share our experiences with our two hosts.

  • Amanda and Caitlin are no amateurs when it comes to hosting; they know what they're doing.. Upon arrival, they showed me a clean, well-made bedroom with a set of rules and instructions on the bed that were straightforward and easy to follow. They allowed me to keep to myself during my stay, while being gracious enough to chat and provide me with recommendations when I asked. I felt that I certainly got more than I paid for. Thanks guys!

  • They were wonderfully nice. I was out a lot so I didn't see them, but they were super polite, the place was wonderful, and they made me feel comfortable.

  • I had a good time in Portland with Catlin and Amanda. They were nice and friendly. I'm a little bit sad that I couldn't say goodbye to them in person because of my flight, but still I'd like to recommend this place to those who's going to Portland:)

  • We had a great stay with Caitlin and Amanda. The location made it easy to travel via public transit to explore the city. They provided guides to the neighborhood in the room which came in handy. Room has a really nice view.

  • We booked last minute and Caitlin & Amanda were kind enough to accept us. So glad we did make the decision to visit Portland. The apartment is in a great spot with the bus stop and a Safeway grocery store just across the street. Bed is comfortable and the hosts are wonderful!

  • Caitlin and Amanda's place is amazing. It is in a perfect location that is close to downtown and cool areas such as Hawthorne and Division Street, although it is close to a major intersection, it is so quiet, you can't hear any of the traffic. Caitlin and Amanda are very friendly and provide many resources to help a visitor as myself. Thank you so much! If I ever visit Portland again, which I want to, I will return!

About
We are avid bike commuters who long for more sunshiny days in Portland, Oregon. Amanda loves books, beer and playing rugby and works in a lab that studies tuberculosis. Caitlin can't live without running, hiking and red wine and works as a nurse on the night shift. We've been together for nearly seven years and had the pleasure of getting married in Caitlin's home state of Utah in December of 2013. We've used Airbnb many times to travel since we love getting tips from local people, not just guidebooks. We've really enjoyed helping people find Portland's secrets and meeting people from all over the world. Though we have busy seeming schedules, we ensure all of our guests have what they need to enjoy all that Portland has to offer. So drop us a line and we'll meet up soon!
