Raphaela and Steve are fantastic hosts and their accommodation is amazing. Breakfast kept us going all day. Their house is full of character and in a stunning location. I had the luxury of celebrating my birthday with the bubbly they presented to me, sitting in the glorious garden in April sunshine. Altogether a perfect place and welcome. I can't wait to go back.
Raphaela is precious, very willing to serve and engage her guests. Her communication was good. Her hospitality, welcome, food and b&b location were suburb. It is a short drive into Carlisle (if you're looking for modern conveniences, fuel or restaurants) but situated down some single and dual lane roads surrounded by fields and a view of the Scottish border. She is respectful of privacy but also open to visiting if you're interested in socializing. The room/space was lovely, updated yet old. We would recommend a stay!
Was a beautiful home in a beautiful place hosted by beautiful people! We were really made to feel at home by Raphaela and Stephen, and were sad to leave. Will definitely be back, and recommend it to anyone looking for some peace and quiet in a lovely rural area.
We had a great stay with Raphaela, she made us feel very welcome. The accomodation is fantastic and we look forward to visiting again the future. There are lots of lovely personal touches and it really felt like a home from home. The breakfast set us up for the day, especially the super sausages. As a host, Raphaela was very warm and hospitable and we wish we could have stayed for longer!
Lovely welcome from Raphaela, and a lovely place. Great to have your own living room space and bathroom in a beautiful building. Off the beaten track, with good walks near by. Best breakfast we had by far on our trip to scotland and back. Highly recommended! Thankyou!
