This guesthouse is located on a property where we live with our family. We have it set up so that you can take care of yourself and enjoy your privacy and so that we can do our day-to-day living without much interruption. If you plan to have lots of visitors or if you want a host who will entertain you, this is probably not the right fit. House rules are to respect that this is our home (no smoking, no excessive noise). An energy-conservation attitude is also very much appreciated!
We had a very comfortable five weeks in this lovely guest house. It is very clean and very pleasantly decorated. The beds are very comfortable and the double bed had lovely linens and down comforter. We were able to do our own laundry and hang it on the line outside the house. The kitchen was well equipped and the decor was very pleasant. Our hosts were friendly and most accommodating to our needs and there was also a lot of privacy. The residential neighborhood is nice for walking and we left our car outside the gated property most of the time because it was easier. We also took it inside at times. We definitely intend to rent again.
I would stay here again in a heartbeat. Jeannette and Paul were great hosts. Perfect location for walking to the campus and scouting around Tucson. The guesthouse was very comfortable. I highly recommend staying here. Can't wait for my next trip!
We felt extremely welcomed by Jeanette and Paul who are kind and attentive hosts. Friends had previously stayed here and we were already familiar with the spacious and comfortable guesthouse which stands independently in a charmingly designed desert garden. A further plus is the location on a quiet street with easy access to central Tucson.
The guesthouse was a nice size and had everything you would need: wifi, kitchen, satelite TV, and air conditioning. It also has some amazing art work hanging inside and feels very comfortable/welcoming. I didn't see Jeanette very often since I was out most of the day and didn't return until later, but she left clear instructions on the check in/check out procedure. Overall, I would highly recommend this guesthouse.
I have been coming to Tucson for 20 years so when I say this charming cottage is in a great central neighborhood, you can take it to the bank. It is a stone's throw to Whole Foods, a short trot to Starbucks, and a nice little drive to Trader Joes.
The air conditioning functioned well, as did everything else, which is important when you are staying for more than a week on business. The skylights gave a feeling of lightness with no loss of privacy.
The hostess is true to her word, as she does leave you alone. In fact I never met her but her loving kindness emanated throughout all her property. Her daughters did welcome me and introduce themselves.
The cottage was well appointed, the TV channels were ample, wifi strong enough to do business, and the garden was charming and filled with birds.
As a single woman I loved the security of onsite gated parking.
I would stay here again .
This is the second time we have stayed at this guesthouse in Tucson. It is everything that the host advertises. The property is clean and close to anything a person would want to do in Tucson. The host is very accommodating and the cottage is comfortable and quiet. It is a pleasure to work with this hostess and we will definitely stay there again.
Jeannette's guest house in Tucson was just perfect! Very beautiful space, clean, relaxing and just an absolutely outstanding value. The guest house was even bigger than it looked in the photos. Could not have worked out better, Jeannette was extremely organized and very easy to communicate with. The location was perfect for us and we look forward to returning the next time we are in Tucson!!
