HUGE PLATEAU LOFT

Apartment - Entire home/apt · Avenue des Pins Ouest, Montreal, QC H2W 1P8, Canada

The Space

Available while we are away for work. Very big stylish residential loft in commercial/industrial building in the heart of the plateau! About 40% of the building's spaces are residential lofts, the rest are studios for artists and musicians. Our loft is located in the Plateau, the area in Montreal with the most interesting clubs, restaurants, shopping, and nightlife. Also walking distance to Downtown, the Old Port, McGill University, Parc Mont Royal, Rue St. Denis, Rue Prince Arthur and much more. Located on the corner of Pine and St. Laurent, a busy intersection with a lot of restaurants and clubs, also a 24/h grocery store across the street. A lot of public transit nearby.
The Loft has two closed bedrooms and a huge living area (dining room, living room combined, kitchen in its own area but still part of main room) and full bathroom. The whole loft is 1500 square feet. Very bright, one whole wall is windows. We have an artificial wood burning stove that looks real and is a very strong heater.
Please note that if you do not pay extra for the second bedroom, it will be locked.

Things provided include:

Coded entry system (no key needed)
Towels
Queen size bed with bedding and sheets
High speed Internet (wifi)
Full kitchen
Things that have changed:
We no longer have the pinball machines
We have a different couch that replaced the sectional
The price starts at $95/night, $500/week for one bedroom and $1600/month for one bedroom. Contact me on deals for both rooms for stays of a week or more.
This is a great place to stay in an amazing and fun area of Montreal!

  • Emily's loft is indeed huge and a wonderful place to stay while in Montreal. The location is perfect for exploring the Plateau, Mile End, or Mont Royal Park. It's only a 15 minute walk from downtown - helpful since I was attending a conference downtown. It's already cold in Montreal but the loft was warm and everything is clean and easy to use. Excellent place to stay and highly recommended.

  • My friend and I stayed at Emily's loft for two weeks in November 2013 while doing work placements. We loved everything about our stay. The place was beautiful, uniquely decorated, very clean, and extremely spacious. It is in a perfect location - walking distance to anything you could need ranging from fun bars, to excellent restaurants, to funky coffee shops. Emily was a fantastic host and very good about getting in touch during booking/during our stay.

The only tiny downside was that the walls are pretty thin so you can hear the neighbours talking, playing their music, etc. We were not home much and tended to stay up late because we were busy exploring the city, so this wasn't really an issue for us. However, I imagine it could be bothersome if you enjoy having quiet time in the evenings.

Overall, I would HIGHLY recommend staying here! Staying at Emily's loft made our stay in Montreal an incredible and very memorable experience. I would definitely come back to stay here again. Thanks!

  • Emily's Loft was great. A great space full of character and charm. We booked at the last minute and Emily was super accommodating, very communicative and helpful. The place was clean, comfortable, with a nice kitchen - over all a super cool urban loft in a great location. Thanks for the stay!

  • This is a most fantastic place to stay. The area buzzes, all facilities are close by, and best of all. downstairs is the most wonderful little cafe - Chez Nouri - where Nouri makes the most wonderful breakfasts and the meaning of life (amongst other things) is discussed. After one of his breakfasts you can deal with anything that Montreal dishes out.
The loft itself is amazing - huge, comfy, with a well-set up kitchen, with central heating that makes the place incredibly cosy even when it threatens to snow outside.
We loved our stay there - thanks so much Emily. We will be back!

  • The loft was perfect for our family of four including a toddler. We enjoyed the attractive, fun, comfortable decor and appreciated the very functional kitchen and dining area. We found the loft clean and well maintained but full of character. The only reason for 4 rather than 5 stars is as an alert to a draw-back for some; occasional noisy musician neighbors and raucous late-night weekend street noise. But we loved the loft and it helped make our long weekend vacation enjoyable for all.

  • Wow! The perfect home away from home while traveling! Emily's place is spacious and airy (the windows are fantastic!) while still managing to be cozy and comfortable. The cool artwork throughout and the well-designed space make it a design-geek's perfect holiday home. The location is great - walking distance or a quick metro ride to everywhere I wanted to explore. Lots of restaurants and plenty of live music venues nearby, too. Though with the amazing record collection and welcoming lounge chair, spending an evening in was a perfectly lovely option, too.
If I come back to Montreal I will definitely reach out to Emily in hopes of staying there again, and have recommended her place to friends who travel to Montreal often. It was such a welcoming, beautiful space I truly didn't want to leave.

  • We ended up having to cancel extremely last minute, but Emily was totally understanding and very nice to deal with. The building itself feels a little rough, but the loft was wonderful. Full of character, but if you are expecting a hotel experience, you should probably look somewhere else. Amazing record collection, and a really neat part of town. If you're looking to stay somewhere and live like a Montrealer, this is the place. Fannypack toting tourists need not stay here :)

  • This loft is absolutely amazing, exactly as pictured/described. Lots of room and in a great area. We walked most places but the metro is conveniently located nearby if you need it. Did not meet Emily but check-in went smoothly and her instructions were very easy to follow. I stayed with just my boyfriend, but there is plenty of space if you were travelling with a larger group.

  • I had a great long stay at Emily & Mike's loft. I was there for just over two weeks and really didn't want to leave.

Firstly its a beautiful space filled with amazing furniture, books, records and art, I was still noticing new details two weeks in.

The kitchen is equipped with just about everything you can think of, so its a pleasure to cook and eat in the loft.

No matter how cold it got outside the apartment was always toasty warm, and there are extra heating options too if you need them.

Emily was a pleasure to deal with, she left a wealth of information about the apartment and was quick to respond to any emails. She was also extremely flexible and accommodating throughout the stay.

This is by far the best Airbnb experience I have had and I would recommend this property to anyone who wants to immerse themselves in Montreal life.

  • This loft was definitely the coolest property that I have ever stayed in. It is incredibly comfortable, well laid out and with many unique features. Location wise, you are basically on Saint Laurent, a minutes walk to restaurants, clubs, shops, grocery etc., and a not very far walk to Saint Denis, Old Montreal, etc... in other words the location is perfect. Emily was an awesome host as well, answering all questions very quickly and providing lots of great information and instructions in regards to the property and Montreal. Would definitely stay here again next time we are in MTL.
