About This Listing
Available while we are away for work. Very big stylish residential loft in commercial/industrial building in the heart of the plateau! About 40% of the building's spaces are residential lofts, the rest are studios for artists and musicians. Our loft is located in the Plateau, the area in Montreal with the most interesting clubs, restaurants, shopping, and nightlife. Also walking distance to Downtown, the Old Port, McGill University, Parc Mont Royal, Rue St. Denis, Rue Prince Arthur and much more. Located on the corner of Pine and St. Laurent, a busy intersection with a lot of restaurants and clubs, also a 24/h grocery store across the street. A lot of public transit nearby.
The Loft has two closed bedrooms and a huge living area (dining room, living room combined, kitchen in its own area but still part of main room) and full bathroom. The whole loft is 1500 square feet. Very bright, one whole wall is windows. We have an artificial wood burning stove that looks real and is a very strong heater.
Please note that if you do not pay extra for the second bedroom, it will be locked.
Things provided include:
Coded entry system (no key needed)
Queen size bed with bedding and sheets
High speed Internet (wifi)
Things that have changed:
We no longer have the pinball machines
We have a different couch that replaced the sectional
$97/night for one bedroom (2 people), $30/night per person for the second room.
This is a great place to stay in an amazing and fun area of Montreal!
By the way, the photo of me is not taken at my place, it's my sister's house in the country.
We require a $300 safety deposit that Airbnb deals with in the event we decide to keep it. That rarely happens and has only in the past due to guests having parties. Our biggest house rule, NO PARTIES!!! Our place is great for them and it's tempting but they are not allowed. We also ask for an additional $50 cleaning fee that goes to the cleaner we hire after you leave (we pay her $75).
Please water our5 plants if you're there for more than a week. Thanks!
We loved the loft and its
Layout. There was a street festival the first few days were there - great treat. Convenient to restaurants and grocers if you wish to cook. Several
Key tourist spots are also in a short walking distance. Longer walk to Mont Royal metro is an option if you wish to change it up from the St Laurent station that is a few blocks away. Emily was lovely, accommodating, and offered help when we got in a temporary bind. It was a great week!
Emily was quick to respond and provided us with more than all the information we needed to make our stay seamless and easy upon arrival -she even provided suggestions on where to eat! The loft is HUGE, clean and bright -it was a great place to call home while we explored Montreal. When we come back we are staying here from now on!
The apartment and location was excellent with plenty of street activities going on over the weekend. Good street food and close to very excellent restaurants such as La Salle a Manger and my favorite restaurant Au Pied de Cochon. The apartment was excellent, and I loved the openness of the main living area. It was extremely comfortable to just relax on the couch after a busy day and listen to music until dinner time. The leather chair and ottoman was so relaxing I actually fell asleep and had a short nap which is rare for me.
Emily was very responsive to all of my questions and in a timely manner. She provided all the information we required with suggested parking and we felt very welcome and excited to visit. The apartment was very easy to find using Google Maps. The information packet provided on the counter and multiple maps, sight seeing books, bike trails, and brochures were great, especially the map with the location marked and all of the Metro stations listed. Thank you Emily so much for leaving all of the great information to ensure we were comfortable, oriented to our surroundings, and potential activities available in the great city of Montreal.
I hope to be able to return soon to Montreal and have the ability to stay at your apartment. Thank you again.
We had a great time here! The loft is very comfortable - it's good to have so much space. The area is fantastic - you can walk to the park, the old town and there are excellent restaurants and bars all around the neighbourhood. The record collection was tantalisingly out of reach because we couldn't work the turn tables, which was a shame! The bed is very comfortable, the kitchen works a treat. We would stay here again in a heartbeat!
Emilys loft is an absoultely marvellous Place that needs to be seen. I can't Think that there is a better Place to stay for one or two Couples if they visit Montreal. The Place i s excellently located in between Downtown and the more hip areas. We had an ocerall excellent stay.
Emily's place is beautiful and in a really fun part of town. There are tons of great bars, restaurants, and shops in close proximity. Emily was super responsive to all my questions and even left some guide books and other helpful information for us. I would highly recommend staying at her huge awesome loft!
Emily's place was fantastic - hands down the coolest place I've stayed in with a very funky style which doesn't feel artificial or forced like many other b&bs I've stayed at. It's also incredibly spacious and stayed pretty cool during the relatively warm days. The location can't be beat as its right off St Laurent between the popular Montreal clubs in one direction and all the cool bars/shops in the other. It can get a little noisy at night but I didn't find it to be much of a problem as I was out late most nights anyways.
Emily provided very clear instructions and was available for contact if needed and also left many helpful guides to the city. I would certainly stay here again in the future and would highly recommend it to anyone visiting the city. Thanks Emily!
