The apt is as the pictures portray, very modern, great views, clean and spacious.
The only downside on this apt. is the sofa bed. The mattress is terrible, I slept on the couch because it was that uncomfortable.
When we arrived around 7pm, the keys were not in the apartment and the dryer was full of damp towels. I called JoAnne and left a message, and emailed as well through Airbnb. One hour later after not hearing from her, I texted her. She replied to my text immediately but didn't return my call. I asked if the keys could be dropped off next morning before 9AM.
Next morning by 9AM nobody came with the keys. I called her again and asked her to call me back since we were already late for our tours. Half hour later I texted her again and she replied back saying someone was dropping of the keys.
When you are doing business, I think calling a client is important. Texting shouldn't be the main way to communicate. I find this very unprofessional.
Overall our experience with the apt. was great, my only suggestion is to be more responsive with clients, especially when things are forgotten by management.
Very easy check in and check out process, and the apartment is in a nice area
The unit is located only a few blocks away from the Magnificent Miles. Very convenient, yet it's very quiet living inside the unit. The facility of the building was good and well managed. The interior of the unit was nicely decorated and practical at the same time. Nothing too overly luxurious, but everything comfortable and practical. The host was very nice and responded to my questions quickly. SHe made some really good restaurant suggestions too. Will stay there again.
Transaction was very professional and prompt. The place is as advertised and great. The only complaint is that it was not very clean.
Very nice place. Exactly as in the add. Very clean and spacious in the heart of the city. Check-in and check-out was a breeze. Would definitely recommend this to others.
It was my first experience with airbnb. Most others were ignoring me when I was trying to figure out a last minute get away for NYE. JoAnne was prompt and very nice to deal with. Beautiful views. As advertised. Kind of a steep mark-up for a holiday in my opinion. A little dusty, but it was nice having a parking garage ($36/day) right in the same building!
We were lucky enough to snag this property in December 2013. The location can't be beat. It's super close to Michigan Avenue and the Navy Pier, which you get a glimpse of in the amazing view this property offers. We were in town to go to the German Christmas Market, and it was only a mile away, which we walked to instead of driving. There are also plenty of delicious restaurants nearby, Yolk being a personal favorite for breakfast. The bed was extremely comfortable and it was a very clean apartment. The doormen were super friendly and helpful, and the local dog park was only a block or two away. The amenities, including a full service gym and sauna/hot tub were appreciated after the cold day Chicago brought us. The only negative would be the parking garage was $33 a day with no in/out privileges. But, there were plenty of other garages around and we even scored street parking one night.
We really enjoyed our stay at the condo. The view from the condo of the Chicago skyline is incredible. The neighborhood is fantastic, and so close to lots of attractions and shopping. We also made use of the amenities in the building - the billiards table in the lounge was a fun way to end the day, and the business center was useful for printing our boarding passes ahead of time. JoAnne was very responsive in communication, and check in and out was seamless. A great place to stay in Chicago!
The reservation was canceled 6 days before arrival. This is an automated posting.
