Enjoy peace, quiet and breathtaking views of the surrounding woods and horse pastures from both a front and back deck under massive trees. The cottage is ideal for long-term monthly or weekly stays as well as nightly visits.
If you're ready to stay in, the rustic cottage and surrounding land provide perfect space for resting, creating, writing, meditating and more. If you're ready to go exploring, the cottage is within walking distance of the hike and bike trails of DeSoto State Park.
The property is located about 5 miles from Mentone, a quaint, artistic town only 10 minutes away from Interstate 59 (Exit 231) on Lookout Mountain. Mentone offers great restaurants, stores and shops along with breathtaking mountain views and incomparable natural beauty.
The cottage sleeps up to 5 people on one real bed in the bedroom, a couch in the living room which unfolds into a queen size bed, and a daybed which sleeps one that the owners will supply if desired.
It features a huge living area with a gorgeous indoor fireplace, one very spacious bedroom, a kitchen, and two full baths. The cottage is fully furnished including a washer and dryer. The kitchen is completely equipped and has a quaint little breakfast nook looking out into the woods and pastureland. Guests are welcome to make use of the dishes, utensils and appliances.
This getaway is very pet friendly; 1 acre is fully fenced! There are no pets currently on the premises and yours are welcome to the entire area, but please clean up after them, as well as crate them if left alone inside the cottage. There is plenty of free on-site parking.
Interaction with guests
Often the owner is off of the property and interaction will be via phone and/or email. If there is occasion for it, one of the local caretakers of the property will be available.

The Wi-fi information will be on the brown table by the brown recliner in the bedroom.
Please leave the house and property as you found it and clean up after pets in the yard if needed. Also, please crate pets when you leave them alone in the house/yard. If you used dishes, please wash them and return them to their proper places and leave trash in proper waste receptacles.
