Located in the main house of this stunning villa all bedrooms are en suite with air con & over heads fans.

The master suite & queen suite have private access to a balcony with views across the huge pool, tree canopy & countryside ...

The space
Maliga Kanda - 'Maliga' is the name of the nearby Buddhist Temple & in Sinhala, 'kanda' means 'hill' - is an exceptional villa perched on a north west facing hill side with blissful views of rice paddy fields & jungle canopy.

The nearest main town Galle, with its historic Dutch Fort, is approx 6km away & the nearest surf break is appox 4km from the villa.

The main house has 4 bedroom suites (3 king & 1 queen) all upstairs, all ensuite, with air conditioning & over head fans. Two of these suites (the master king & queen) lead out to a balcony that overlooks the pool & distant tropical canopy.

The lower garden level houses an additional 3 air conditioned suites that can also be rented for an additional sum. These comprise 2 king suites & 1 small bunk room for children with 2 beds. If you don't rent these they will be closed & the villa given to you on an exclusive use basis.

This lower garden building also houses the air conditioned TV/games room that also has a table tennis table.

The open plan sitting / dining area, fully equipped kitchens (home to our incredibly talented chef), an air conditioned study with work station & library as well as a guest bathroom are on the ground floor of the main house.

The sitting area has floor to ceiling timber doors that completely fold back to a small verandah with seating & onto the the pool deck & poolside pavilion.

The pavilion comes with comfortable seating - sitting here watching the monkeys play in the canopy is fun - as well as a second dining table.

The fully equipped gym is in a separate garden house.

Adjacent to this private gym we have a dedicated massage room with ensuite bathroom. Our guest relations team can arrange a masseuse / masseur to come to the villa.

As well as the fully equipped gym & massage room there is a multi-sports hard surface court with football, basketball, badminton & soft ball cricket.

Guest access
The entire villa & all the garden is available for your use. The entire garden is walled or fenced-in ensuring total privacy.

The villa is managed by Eden Villas who have been managing luxury villas in the area for over 20 years.

Other things to note
Maliga House is a fully staffed villa with a private chef, steward & house keeper. This dedicated team is supported by Eden Villas, a professional villa management company that has been managing luxury villas in Sri Lanka for over 20 years. With this team you will be fully supported for the duration of your stay.

Maliga House has a private gym, games court, library, TV/games room & enough space for families to gather & enjoy their excellent company.

All meals in Maliga House are extra & are arranged by discussing with our wonderful Chef, who is fluent in English, about what you like to eat.

The menu is divided into a set menu per day so all you need do is choose which day's from which menu.

Due to limited space in our kitchen we ask that you eat as a family; as you would at home.

The pricing is fixed as follows:

Breakfast - USD 10 per adult
Lunch - USD 15 per adult
Dinner - USD 25 per adult

Children under 12yr are USD5, $8 & $13 respectively.

It is not necessary but you can accompany our chef to the shops - the fish market can be fun - if you wish.
