  • I was very happy with my stay with Peter. Peter offered everything I expected & a whole lot more. I am planning on staying at the Doorstep II again. Thanks Peter for you great hospitality.

  • Peter was a wonderful host! He accommodated a few very last minute requests and was just all around friendly, kind and considerate.

  • This was my very first Airbnb experience, but it will not be my last. Peter was an excellent host. He greeted me enthusiastically, provided a tour of the amenities so that I would feel comfortable, for instance, opening drawers and doors in the kitchen. I was able to use the refrigerator and the microwave, as well. The room had one of the most comfortable desk chairs that I have ever used. Since I stay in mid-high level hotels several times per month, that’s a pretty high bar to surpass! The work surface in the bedroom was generous, but if I had needed a very large space, the dining room table was also available. The bed was very comfortable; firm for support with a soft mattress topper for extra comfort. Having the choice of feather or foam pillows was great! Like many, I cannot sleep on most foam pillows. The room had a great wingback chair with good reading light, and the selection of cable TV channels included favorites like HGTV and the Food Channel. FIOS high speed Internet gave flawless service.
The house is meticulously maintained by Peter and the permanent housemates. The shared second floor bath was very convenient and I never had to wait. The house also has a half bath on the main level that is available. The house is very quiet, but if you elect to interact with the residents, you will find interesting and informative conversation, as well as lots of local history for the asking. The continental breakfast had many, many choices, including fresh fruit, juices, pastries, instant oatmeal, cold cereals, and coffee, tea and milk. When 10 inches of new snow and unplowed streets prevented me from going out for supper, and restaurants canceled their delivery services, Peter simply heated up a very good frozen pizza for the exact time that I had said that I would prefer to eat. The house really is just ½ block from the main city bus line that goes to the Amtrak station and connects with other lines quite easily.
Peter has no hidden fees. This must make his place just about the best deal in the whole area. I have stayed in dozens of British Bed and Breakfasts and really like the shared-home feel of the smaller ones. Peter offers a very high quality of such accommodation. I expect to return in the summer to enjoy the local sights, and will certainly book this place when I do.

    January 2014
  • The house was beautiful and at a grea location not too far from downtown providence and the room was very comfortable. Peter was a great host helping me with bus schedules and everything I asked for.

    January 2014
  • Peter offered a clean, functional room in a well-appointed home, as well as all the necessary amenities, including a lovely continental breakfast. I appreciated the relaxed but highly respectful environment of his home. It was really nice to feel safe, comfortable, and surrounded by good will during my sojourn.

  • Peter helped me do well on my job interview by providing a warm, clean, and quiet home to rest and sleep in. It was also helpful to help myself to a quick breakfast so that I was energized for my interview. Beyond that, he shared his honest and genuine views on Rhode Island and gave me some pointers as I explored the city and its surrounding neighborhoods. As my first AirBnB experience, Peter definitely set the bar. Thanks Peter!

  • Peter is a great and professional host and has an amazing house, clean and quiet!
Everything work well, and this cinnamon cake for the breakfast was just so good!
There is a bus stop really close, and you are in the downtown in 10 minutes!

    Thanx again Peter!

  • A quiet, satisfactory room with a helpful and amiable host. Exactly what this weary traveler needed! Thanks for the hospitality, Peter.
