  • Nice, quiet residential area close to major highways. Peter was a great host and every little thing was thought of carefully. On finding out that we wanted to visit Block Island and Newport, Peter advised us on what to do in those areas and how to get there. Overall we had a great visit.

  • Peter was very accommodating during my stay, even driving me to the convention center on three of the five days I was there. He also accommodated my breakfast fare, which isn't his usual, which he didn't have, but he then went out and purchased and provided. I didn't expected to so accommodated. The neighborhood was quiet and safe. I could hear the wonderful birds and could see squirrels out the window at almost any time, even a chipmunk. That's unusual for a city. I spent very little time at the house since I was at a convention until quite late almost every night. However, I enjoyed staying there a lot. His house is immaculate.

  • Peter was great host. He was easy to coordinate with as my bus got in late. His home was very nice in a peaceful neighborhood, great for jogging. His other roommates were pleasent and mostly kept to themsleves. Everything was as advertised and the room very spacious. .Over all, definitely a nice quiet peaceful place to stay, and is not far away from nightlife.

  • A very comfortable, cosy, place to stay. Peter was very welcoming and a great host. Happy to help in anyways he can. Would recommend this as a place to stay.

I was in and out, without a car, taking public transport to get downtown which was very close and accessible from Peter's house. Less than 10 minute bus ride.

I felt very comfortable staying in Providence and exploring the City. People in general seem nice and hospitable.

  • Peter was a warm and welcoming host, very helpful with local transportation information. The room was neat and the bed very comfortable. This is a perfect spot for getting anywhere in Providence, as it is a quick and convenient bus ride from downtown and the bus stop is steps away from the house. A short walk to Providence college, it is perfect for visiting faculty or parents.

  • Peter was a wonderful host! He accommodated a few very last minute requests and was just all around friendly, kind and considerate.

  • This was my very first Airbnb experience, but it will not be my last. Peter was an excellent host. He greeted me enthusiastically, provided a tour of the amenities so that I would feel comfortable, for instance, opening drawers and doors in the kitchen. I was able to use the refrigerator and the microwave, as well. The room had one of the most comfortable desk chairs that I have ever used. Since I stay in mid-high level hotels several times per month, that’s a pretty high bar to surpass! The work surface in the bedroom was generous, but if I had needed a very large space, the dining room table was also available. The bed was very comfortable; firm for support with a soft mattress topper for extra comfort. Having the choice of feather or foam pillows was great! Like many, I cannot sleep on most foam pillows. The room had a great wingback chair with good reading light, and the selection of cable TV channels included favorites like HGTV and the Food Channel. FIOS high speed Internet gave flawless service.
The house is meticulously maintained by Peter and the permanent housemates. The shared second floor bath was very convenient and I never had to wait. The house also has a half bath on the main level that is available. The house is very quiet, but if you elect to interact with the residents, you will find interesting and informative conversation, as well as lots of local history for the asking. The continental breakfast had many, many choices, including fresh fruit, juices, pastries, instant oatmeal, cold cereals, and coffee, tea and milk. When 10 inches of new snow and unplowed streets prevented me from going out for supper, and restaurants canceled their delivery services, Peter simply heated up a very good frozen pizza for the exact time that I had said that I would prefer to eat. The house really is just ½ block from the main city bus line that goes to the Amtrak station and connects with other lines quite easily.
Peter has no hidden fees. This must make his place just about the best deal in the whole area. I have stayed in dozens of British Bed and Breakfasts and really like the shared-home feel of the smaller ones. Peter offers a very high quality of such accommodation. I expect to return in the summer to enjoy the local sights, and will certainly book this place when I do.
