  • The Mission Hideout was my first AirBNB experience and it was an amazing one! Judith was super helpful and had a lot of great recommendations as far as things to see and eat nearby and the parking map was extremely helpful. The Hideout was cute, cozy and most importantly - spotlessly clean. It was exactly what we needed after a few long days of San Francisco exploration. Perfect little spot - we would definitely love to come back and stay here if we're in Cali in the future!

  • This Hide Away in the Mission District of San Francisco is very cute and comfortable, perfect for two people. One block away there was excellent Latin restaurants and food. The St. Francis Fountain Coffee shop had fabulous food & in the same corner, also great Mexican and Latin is more like 6 blocks from Bart, during the day the neighborhood is fine, at night I recommend taking a taxi or Lyft services back to the Hide Away. The Lyft taxi service was only $16 from downtown, 20 % less than the Taxi co. and really friendly, BART was $2 one way into downtown.
We met Jesse, Judith's Daughter who was very friendly and very helpful.
Overall, we had a lovely stay and recommend the place to everyone.

  • We had a wonderful time at The Hideout! The place is super cute, cozy, private, and the bed is very comfortable. Judith was a great host. She is very thoughtful and the Hideout has everything you need to be a comfortable guest. Judith is very friendly, easy to communicate with, and has hosting down pat! We did have a car with us on this trip which worried me in terms of parking, but we used her parking map and found a spot within 15 minutes about 3 blocks away. Not every street has restrictions so her map is useful to figure out where to go. We got gourmet donuts about a block away for breakfast and there are several restaurants, cafes, bookstores on 24th street. It is about a 10 minute walk to the 24th street BART. The Hideout was a great place for us to stay to experience an authentic San Francisco neighborhood during our vacation. We would love to stay here again some time. Thank you Judith!

  • What a wonderful recent stay at the hideout. My girlfriend and I recently stopped for two nights with Judith, and could not have been more happy. Very close to bus lines and a walk to BART, and the room itself had everything we needed for a refreshing stay. Judith was very accommodating, providing coffee for our mornings and a quiet place to keep our things as we move around the city. We thoroughly enjoyed the back yard garden area, surrounded by citrus trees and singing birds. Highly recommend paying Judith a visit if you're looking to recharge yourself after a day or two around the city.

  • This was my first time using Airbnb, and what a wonderful introduction. Judith was an excellent host and her Hideout is a great spot in San Francisco. The space contained so many thoughtful small touches that really made me feel at home during my stay, from the books to the cookies to the cozy yet elegant bathroom. The bedroom is quiet, immaculately kept, and has great light. It felt like everything had been thought of. I'll definitely stay with Judith again on future trips to San Francisco. Top-notch!

  • Judith was a great host and very communicative. She was always quick to respond to any questions we had, and she provided a really helpful map to assist in finding parking nearby.

Her hideout is a quiet, clean and cozy place, conveniently located in the Mission District and a quick walk to a great diner (St Francis Fountain), a Philz Coffee location, and many other cool spots in the area.

The room is probably a perfect size for one person, but it was a little cramped for two. The bathroom, while beautiful, was slightly awkward—there is no separate "shower" door or tub; it shares the same floor as the toilet with a curtain and a drain, so the floor around the toilet was wet after showering. It was a little uncomfortable at first, but we got used to it pretty quickly.

On the whole, we really enjoyed meeting her and would happily stay at her place again if/when we visit the area.

  • Clean, comfortable and conveniently located! Lots of places to eat just a block away and a great choice while visiting family in the Mission/Bernal district. Smaller than expected, but we spent very little time in the room and had everything we could possibly need. Judith was friendly and helpful, but unobtrusive. Overall a great experience!

  • We thoroughly enjoyed our visit at Mission Hideaway! This small room felt much larger than it's actual size thanks to cleaver construction and furnishing. This very clean and cozy room was just off an equally clean garage providing us a private entrance to our "home away from home." We also enjoyed the neighborhood and the local eateries just a block away. Transportation was within walking distance. Our host was charming and helpful.

  • This is a nice little space that is separated from the main house. It was quiet and comfortable. The room was laid out well with nice touches. I enjoyed having access to my own keurig machine and other refreshments. I'm looking forward to a return trip in the future.

I spent 22 years living in England before I moved to San Francisco. I am an artist and have an artist studio in our Mission house....My daughter Jess works from home as a medical researcher and we live with her 8 year old son, Romy. We adore San Francisco and always feel that we are so lucky to live in this gorgeous place with the perfect climate and extraordinary lively and positive energy.
