Julia made me feel most welcome. The studio is very cosy with the wooden decor, decent bed, handy fridge and kitchenette and good shower room. Julia was very hospitable. friendly and informative re local information and great restaurant guide!
Great location walking to town centre..
The room was very confortable and cosy.
Nice area, pretty close to everything.
Only downlow is the natural light that is lacking.
Julia was very sweet and welcoming.
I would recommand it.
Great location, very clean, well-equipped (don't forget your toiletries though, as there is not even hand soap in the bathroom), and rather quiet (you'll faintly hear the tv and people talking upstairs). Communication with Julia was super easy, and if you like to be left alone, this is your place. She showed me around, told me where to leave the key when I left, and that was that.
The "natural light" though is minimal: there is a French window, but as there is a metal garage door right in front of it, there will only be enough light to tell whether it is night or day outside!
Thank you for your comments.
I will be happy to provide some soap!
Yes diffuse light from french windows limited.
But there are security issues with bigger portholes in the garage doors.. so limited it will remain!!!
Sorry not to have interacted more.. I should have been more considerate and come and found you so we could have sat in the garden chatting over a cuppa.. sometimes work just takes over!!
Bless you for staying with us anyway.
Jules is a delightful host and was very helpful to me - thanks Jules. The location is great for access to the city centre and the Bedford Place night life precinct. Would be very happy to stay there again if in Southampton
I had a great time at Julia's studio. Stayed there for two weeks during a visit of the University of Southampton. The studio has al the furniture you need and I was surprised how comfortable such a small place can be! The location is great, close to the city centre and other interesting places. Just around the corner you can find The Rockstone, a great place to eat and have a beer.
Central location, well-equipped studio. Julia was really helpful, much appreciated :)
