Merci beaucoup Anita ! Nous conseillons fortement ce logement.
This room is so amazing! The AC unit works wonders on hot summer days and the bathroom is private and very clean. Always a quiet, tranquil stay at Anita's!
Anita seems a nice lady. The house and the room with attached bathroom I stayed in, were bright and clean but all very basic. She gave me good instructions on how to get to her place from the airport. The neighborhood has two sides to it, one nicer than the other. However, upon my arrival after an 18 hour trip from abroad, of which I had informed her, the room was not available until several hours later. Luckily the friends I had come to visit in town, picked me up from the airport and realizing the situation took me to their home to rest. Communication with Anita during my stay was difficult. For a foreigner, first time in Philly and first time with Airbnb, not the best experience.
I'm so sorry that the flexible check in and check out, as specified in the listing, was a problem for you. The student in the room said he was not able to leave early. I wish our several months of communication on the message thread were clearer. Again, very sorry. Please be sure to read every detail of the terms for your future trips. Airbnb actually does an amazing job of collating all of that detailed information. I wish you luck with everything and thank you ever so much.
Anita was a wonderful hostess! I stayed for two weeks and was very comfortable the entire time. The accommodations were exactly as described and pictured. I would strongly recommend staying with Anita and her lovely cats in Philly to anyone considering it!
Room was sufficient and clean. Private bathroom was convenient. Shared kitchen was difficult to cook in due to the owner's last minute request not to cook certain foods (bacon). Was told it was "immoral" to eat bacon. Neighborhood was okay.
I'm sorry the bacon issue was never resolved, although the quote was taken out of context, since it only came after much discussion around my simple request. The reason I originally stated was that bacon and fish, due to the smell and grease, are two things that a guest should not plan on frying in a host's home during their short stay. I offered to pay for the bacon and prepare a freezer bag to take home. Also, my having allowed Abigail to have a guest stay the whole time should have been sufficient. I enjoyed their company on Christmas day and their lively activity in the kitchen everyday. I do appreciate how clean their room was left and what a sweet young couple they are.
I enjoyed this West Philly neighborhood. Broadway St had cafes and a breakfast place and Hibiscus cafe was close. Hibiscus had a chick pea and kale wrap that were as good as the sandwich I had at Reading Terminal. I liked Anita and her residents both human and feline! The 52 nd bus stop was a half a block away and that took you to the 52 and Market subway on the Frankfort/69 line and was very convenient to City Hall at stop 15. Parking was always available near by and not crowded and it was easy to park. A gas station is a block away. The room was private and well heated and the bath/shower was hot and clean. Would recommend!! Thanks for having me.

I am originally from New Jersey, and I am an artist, so I enjoy looking at art and creating it. I also love reading, writing, antiques, dancing, and music. That is just to name a few.
My father was a neurologist, originally from Italy, so I grew up with an appreciation of different cultures, as well as, a passion for art and science. My mother was an American artist, which made for an interesting life.
