We had a lovely stay in Torfino staying in the beautiful home of Michelle and Al. A lovely location overlooking the cove and the mudflats, we did lots of paddle boarding, yoga and chilling. We were in the adjacent cabin and our friends with their kids and parents were in the main house so it was very convenient. We also took advantage of the cycles and checked out the local beaches and surfing too. Thanks for your hospitality Michelle and Al. Would recommend this to anyone visiting with a family/friends.
Alan and Michelle welcomed us upon arrival and immediately gave us a map, pointing out great places to hike, bike, eat and drink. They were super welcoming and greeted us with homemade granola, jam and fresh fruit. Our cabin was in a peaceful, quiet location but in walk- and bike- able distance from all the great beaches and tourist spots. We had a sauna, hot tub, and a perfect porch for wildlife viewing. Thank you!
Great people and amazing place! Michelle and Alan were very welcoming and shared great tips on the area. The cabin and amenities were nice and as described - we forgot about the robes which were a real luxury to wear to the hot tub and sauna, and the complimentary granola and good coffee were a delicious bonus. The inlet is shallow which keeps out motor boats so it's very peaceful, and the surf beaches are nearby. We would definitely come again.
My wife and I stayed at the Cedarwood Cove for two nights at the end of July 2015. We could not have been happier with the fabulous hosts and gorgeous amenities. Our quick stay provided amazing relaxation (friendly laid back hosts with great suggestions for bike rides to town, beach walks, the hot tub and sauna), adventure (unbeatable surfing) and new experiences (SUP night tour). We would absolutely recommend this incredible retreat to all of our friends and family. If you want to be reminded about just how good life can be if you take a minute to slow down and enjoy your surroundings then this beautiful place is for you. We will definitely be back and will be staying longer. Thank you so much to the incredible host Michelle for helping my wife and I to find what we didn't even realize we had been missing. We cannot say enough about the huge impact our short stay at Cedarwood Cove had on us. Until we visit again!
Awesome experience!Very warm welcome from Michelle and Alan.Amazing fire camping time and the most peaceful deck in Tofino.
Michelle and Alan are fantastic hosts! From the moment we arrived they were: very welcoming, gave us the lay of the town, and suggested a great first day hike and food run. Their casa is kitted out with all of the water and transport toys you'll need to make your stay active, and they can instruct you as well. Michelle has all sorts of yummy treats, awesome granola, and even makes her own bath goodies. Their location on the inlet side is very beautiful and slowly changes with the tides and weather like a post card in motion.

I'm Michelle and I'm a Registered Holistic Nutritionist, Bodyworker and am credited with Yoga Alliance RYT200 and taught Yoga in Vancouver for 2yrs whilst at school. My passion is for healing and holistic health through food, touch, movement, love and laughter all washed down with plenty of cake :) I offer my services at Cedarwood Cove and practice various massage & bodywork treatments to suit your needs and mood. I provide organic homemade breakfast supplies for all guests, and we try and grow as much food as possible, fish and gather the fruits of nature. I'm always grateful to talk nutrition with guests and have lots of handy tips on food and health aswell as providing private consultations if required. I'm also a qualified Stand up Paddle instructor (Paddle Canada) and urge you to try out SUP from the luxury of the private jetty to the water! I love to share laughs and fire pits with guests, I also know the value of solitude and quiet.
Alan my husband runs a business in Victoria renting bikes, scooters and motorbikes and so commutes a lot between Victoria and Tofino. He is an active member in the mountain biking community and is often found hardcore biking up roots and shoots all over Victorias finest mountain bike trails. He is the outdoor adventure guy, with a keen eye for safety and a dangerous lust for risks. He loves to surf and play in the ocean and is ready to share his passion with friends, guests and anyone else willing to jump in the Pacific! He is the one to ask to fix your bike, teach you how to do a wheelie, assist with surfing, directions, chop you wood, make fires, tell you where to get a good coffee and give tons of knowledge on local hikes and trails (and what to wear!)
We both love Nature, surfing, yoga, food, health, the Universe, laughing, sillyness, love, books, mountains, oceans, travelling, snowboarding, biking, the beach, flowers, people, star gazing, hiking, cooking and chocolate!
Travelling is a big favourite of ours! Ive been known to couch surf, sleep at homestays, work on farms woofing, snooze in Morrocan Riads, try and live authentically as possible in new countries from new zealand to costa rica and all over europe. We never stay in hotels, hence the reason why we are offering to share our piece of paradise and holistic homestay/cabin in Tofino with you. Our dream is to expand the homestay in Tofino and develop in Costa Rica. We invite all people to come and eat organic farm grown foods from the greenhouse, do yoga, surf, collect shells, hike, bike, paddle board, sleep in hammocks, heal, drink wine, make friends, show gratitude and eat chocolate. Wanna come? :)
We want to inspire you to be the best that you can possibly be.
