Interaction with Guests
We spend a lot of time with our guests both at breakfast and in the evening.
It is so close to everything. Our place is so quiet and serene and that is what people love about us. They like to go downtown during the day but they love to come back here where it is peaceful and quiet and spend the evening in the screened in room in the back with a glass of wine. There is also a lot of history here. In walking distance from the house you will found and area where the only beach for African Americans used to be. In addition it had a Motel and a Nightclub where all the big names like Duke Ellington, James Brown, Luis Amstrong and other big names used to play.
Bus 40 or 41 will take you downtown + there is also a waterfront taxi. Buses are 5 minutes walk from the house the water taxi 15 minutes walk.
Other Things to Note
It is very easy to get to all the local attractions from our place. All the Plantations, the Angel Oak, Yorktown, Fort Sumter and 2 of the best beaches are easier to get to from here than from downtown.
No smoking. Not suitable for small children.
Not a party place. No shoes indoors but we do provide slippers.
The host made us feel welcomed by spending time with us, sharing stories and her and her husband being warm and very friendly. Wenche would offer helpful information when asked for suggestions. The neighbourhood was very pretty. There are a lot of beautiful trees and greenery all through the streets. The neighbours we seen, were very friendly, waving when we drove in.
My boyfriend and I came into Charleston for a wedding and this was the perfect location -- midway between Charleston proper and the wedding venue in Mount Pleasant. Wenche and Wyatt were wonderful hosts and we really enjoyed staying with locals and meeting the other Air B&B guests over a gorgeous breakfast every morning. Wenche went above and beyond to make us welcome -- providing a map, advice on where to go, and even making a reservation for us at one of her favorite restaurants. I would highly recommend staying here and we hope to return in the future.
We had a wonderful stay at Da Noi. Both Wenche and Wyatt were very welcoming hosts. The room, and indeed, the whole house was beautifully decorated and comfortable. Breakfast was great with fresh fruits and baked pastries. Wenche also was very helpful with directions and suggestions for dinning and sightseeing! You will not be disappointed!
When we arrived, Wyatt was there to help us with our luggage immediately. Wenche and Wyatt were wonderful hosts. Wenche was very knowledgable about the area and very friendly. We enjoyed talking with her at breakfast. The rooms were very nice and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. We would definitely stay with Wenche again if we're ever in Charleston.
Wenche and Wyatt were wonderful hosts! They were welcoming and accommodating, and made staying in their home a pleasure. I highly recommend staying with them if you have the opportunity to visit Mt. Pleasant and neighboring Charleston.
Very nice host; they greeted us with southern charm and were delightful couple. The room and furnishings were exactly as expected and we were thrilled to spend three nights there. The different colored rooms and decor reflected Wenche's interior design talents.
The daily breakfast was delicious and each day the tableware was so colorful and artisitc.

About the Host, Wenche
I was born in Bergen Norway but i have been moving around since i was 17. I have lived in Denmark,Sweden,Italy,Finland,Spain and now in America. I love to travel and to meet people and see other cultures. I am an expert in cakebaking and i can make the most beautiful and incredible tasting cakes. I am also a great cook. My first mother in law was italian and i learned how to do everything from pasta to meat to fish. I love to read especially in the winter. When you stay with us you will have plenty of books to read should you want to stay in and read. For over 20 years i worked as a tourleader for italien groups in Scandinavia so i have many stories to tell. I speak Norwegian, swedis, danish, italien, english + some spanish, french and german. My husband and i have been married for 16 years now and we met in Miami. I love flowers and you will have no doubt about that once you come to stay with us. I love the 50th and 60th music but also classical and italien music. We have a liberary with a tv but we don't watch much tv. We spend most of the year outside and in the winter we sit in front of the fireplace and read or talk. I love a glas of wine with good friends too.
Try the appetizers and order several of them to share with friends. Enjoy the view of the canal and watch the dolphins coming up the river and the pelicans diving for fish.Shrimp Boat Lane Mount Pleasant SC 29464
