  • We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Wenche and Wyatt's home. They were both very warm, inviting, and gracious hosts. We found the home to be exactly as described on the website. The bedroom and bathroom were exceptionally clean and the continental breakfast every morning was refreshing. We enjoyed our chats each morning with Wenche and appreciated her sight-seeing recommendations. Definitely would be our choice to stay again! Warm southern hospitality!

  • My wife and I had a wonderful time at Wenche's home. It was perfectly located in Mt. Pleasant to conveniently get to IOP and downtown. Her food and accommodations were excellent and the conversation with her husband and guests were pleasant and meaningful. I will go back.

  • We had a wonderful time staying at Wenche's lovely house for 2 nights in the tranquil neighborhood of Mount Pleasant, just a short ride from the stunning historical district of Charleston. We stayed in the Red Room, and it was amazing! I am not exaggerating when I say that the bed was the hugest and most comfortable I have ever slept on. The decor is charming, and the room was perfectly cool and air-conditioned - and wonderfully quiet. The private bathroom is gorgeous. It was all so beautiful! The morning light would suffuse the whole room with the most incredible glow - nothing short of magical!

Wenche gave us a delicious Continental breakfast each morning, and it was lovely to sit in the spacious screened area out the front. She was also extremely helpful when it came to planning our visit, both to Charleston and to our next stop, Savannah. Our only regret was that we couldn't stay longer!

Without a doubt, our best AirBnB experience to date. Thank you Wenche!

  • My wife and I had almost a perfect stay at the Fox's home. The Foxes were very warm and accommodating hosts. They were attentive to detail and friendly. Their home was large and more than adequate in size to host the other couple staying at the time we were. The decor was charming and interesting without becoming clutter. Breakfast was delicious, though simple. We very much appreciated the gesture of breakfast, though, we ended up buying an early morning snack after breakfast containing some source of protein. We're meat people, take it or leave it. Our bed was harder than our liking. We aren't super soft bed people, we just don't like a mattress that firm. Worth asking about. We had some difficulty finding towels. They might have been laid out on the bed. Despite a few little things, we really did have an almost perfect stay in Charleston. Would stay again if we had need to.

It was a pleasure having you here. As far as the breakfast is concerned we do not charge for breakfast. During the week we offer a continental breakfast with fresh fruit, yoghurt, orange juice, coffee, tea, sweets, crossaints, butter and marmelade and on weekends we give our guests a full breakfast with eggs, ham and a lot of other things. The towels were and are always hanging in the private bathroom that comes with the room and in the room we have bathrobes. As far as the bed is concerned i believe it is a matter of preference since we have never had any remarks on our beds before. With our prices and us paying fees and a 12 1/2% hospitality tax on a stay we have very little room for adding more breakfast food in addition to what we already give our guests. Thank you for the feedback. Wenche.

  • My stay at the Fox residence was wonderful. The house is lovely and welcoming, located in a quiet neighborhood yet only minutes from everything. Wenche is a gracious and talented host. She is very knowledgeable about the Charleston area and is quick to offer suggestions or directions. The ride service she offers was well worth the additional fee, as it allowed me to enjoy more activities during my short stay. I was very comfortable during my stay and would definitely do it again.

  • The location was perfect. Very quiet. The bed was comfortable, the breakfast was great. You will find this B and B is a great value. My wife and I have already talked about our return visit. The maps make it look like it is a long way out. The location is less than a 10 min drive from the visitor center in downtown Charleston!

  • A friend and I went for the Historical Homes and Gardens. Fortunately, we found Wenche and her husband, Wyatt. The price is excellent, the location is convenient to everything, close to the historic district, AND, they are great hosts. Great directions and recommendations, plus Wenche is glad to get you into a restaurant through her connections! She enjoys the role of hostess, has great suggestions about how to plan the things you want to do. Although the house looks charmingly older, it is newer construction, buildt to be a B&B, and it functions wonderfully that way; you can tell how much fun she had decorating her home. We would love to return and highly recommend the B&B.

  • Marvelous! Wonderful! Great place to stay. Wenche was able to direct us to the best eateries and points of interest. The restaurant she told us about ... we would never have found it. Tucked away from the maddening crowds. Best seafood ever! Then Wyatt ... upon arrival he singlehandedly brought our heavy suitcases upstairs for us. We WILL stay here again.

I was born in Bergen Norway but i have been moving around since i was 17. I have lived in Denmark,Sweden,Italy,Finland,Spain and now in America. I love to travel and to meet people and see other cultures. I am an expert in cakebaking and i can make the most beautiful and incredible tasting cakes. I am also a great cook. My first mother in law was italian and i learned how to do everything from pasta to meat to fish. I love to read especially in the winter. When you stay with us you will have plenty of books to read should you want to stay in and read. For over 20 years i worked as a tourleader for italien groups in Scandinavia so i have many stories to tell. I speak Norwegian, swedis, danish, italien, english + some spanish, french and german. My husband and i have been married for 16 years now and we met in Miami. I love flowers and you will have no doubt about that once you come to stay with us. I love the 50th and 60th music but also classical and italien music. We have a liberary with a tv but we don't watch much tv. We spend most of the year outside and in the winter we sit in front of the fireplace and read or talk. I love a glas of wine with good friends too.
