My husband and I split our time between our Downtown Seattle condo and our beautiful Leschi home. We both travel frequently with our businesses (I'm a sculptor and Billy is a musician). My studio is next to our Leschi house in our converted garage. We may or may not see you during your stay but we have someone available 24 hours a day should anything come up. Our neighbors love us and we love them! Suffice it to say, you will have complete privacy while being taken care of simultaneously. Enjoy!
There are two beautiful Olmstead Parks (Frink and Coleman) a stones throw from the front door and you can easily wind your way down to the shores of Lake Washington. Super location close to downtown Seattle, just minutes from local restaurants, shops and transit. Wind your way down to Seward park or over I-90 on a designated bike/jogging trail which takes you around Mercer island....or go further and loop 50 miles around Lake Washington, come home, cook dinner and relax.
We have a bus stop 1 block from our doorstep which can take you all over King county and beyond quite easily. Easy connections to Light Rail, Amtrak, the Victoria Clipper and the entire Washington State Ferry system.
Our home will sleep 8 people if traveling with a large group. We have 2 queen beds, a twin bed, a day bed and 2 couches. We can also provide an inflatable bed for two. Maximum occupancy overnight is 8 without an added fee.
We stayed at Cathy's place for the holidays. It was a wonderful space and we had plenty of room.
Cathy has first rate appliances in her kitchen, and the views are absolutely beautiful. In addition there (email hidden), access to movies and shows, and fast internet.
We had a hassle free vacation and look forward to sharing her home again in the future.
I can only say great things about Cathy, Billy and their house! It was the perfect house in the perfect location to spend a week with the family to celebrate Thanksgiving. Cathy and Billy were very helpful and extremely accommodating. They truly cared about meeting all of our needs and made sure we had a relaxing and comfortable stay. Their kitchen is magnificent! It was fully stocked with every plate, cookware, steamer and roasting pan a cook could possibly need. The heated floors were an amazing bonus. Another incredible bonus was the hot tub. Not only was it the perfect way to relax after a long day, but the views were incredible. Mountains, more mountains, breathtaking sunsets and the Seattle skyline! It was definitely a positive experience and we'd love to go back.
Cathy's home was so much more than we expected. It had the most amazing views of both the city at sunset and the lake at sunrise. The kitchen was a dream kitchen fully stocked with views of the city from the window above the sink. It was such a joy to cook and spend time in the kitchen. The location of the home was also perfect! Took walks down by the lake and to the little downtown about .3 miles down the road. Cathy was also the best hostess, getting back to us right away with any questions we had. Thank you Cathy for making our stay in seattle so memorable! And thanks for the book! I was able to finish it on the plane and loved it!!
We stayed here for six weeks and felt totally at home. Cathy and Billy made sure we were set up with everything we needed and were helpful throughout. The house is beautiful and the views of lake Washington out the front were awesome, and the seattle skyline from the terraced area at the back was stunning.
There's a small separate office space used in the basement and the guys down there were also super friendly, and didnt mind our four kids charging about upstairs.
There are shops and parks nearby. We didnt have a car but this location was great, bus stop just round the corner, lots of things nearby.
If we were in seattle again we'd stay here. Highly recommended
Beautiful, comfortable home full of character! There was plenty of room (and linens, towels, etc) for our family of 5. The space also worked great when our friends came over to "our house". The location provided easy access to downtown, I-5 and I-90. The walk down to Leschi is fun - though the walk back up is quite a bit more work :) Cathy is a wonderful host! She is friendly, was responsive to all of our questions and provides great detail on the neighborhood and house operations. We loved her bakery recommendation - Repast - yummy treats, friendly service and a walk so short you won't burn off the extra calories! Oh yeah, and the views are great too!
Cathy is the best, and so is her home! This was our second stay, and find it to be the perfect location (quiet neighborhood with the incredible sunrise/sunset views promised), easy access to family in Bellevue and friends in other parts of Seattle. Cathy was SUCH a good communicator leading up to and during our stay. Being quick to respond (and thorough in her responses) makes traveling/arranging details so much easier. I felt no stress. The house was perfect for our family, and it has super good energy. My only regret is not getting to meet Cathy in person.
