Beautiful location a little bit outside Kilkenny. The grounds are gorgeous and the dogs are so fun! Kate and her husband we very kind and generous hosts and we would highly recommend the studio for a place to stay!

What a beautiful quiet escape! It's not near much (though Kilkenny was 25 minutes away) but it is the perfect little farm retreat. Kate was very friendly (as were the dogs and goats-bring a throwing arm!) and she had a book ready with suggestions to do and see. We took the long walk around the area, and it almost took 1 1/2 hours, but we saw all sorts of farm animals and great views. We had coffee, eggs, bread, milk and butter waiting for us as well, and all the kitchen items you would need. Follow her directions for sure, my iPhone maps did not like trying to find the place!

The studio was a lovely place to stay! It was a great way to experience the Irish countryside and relax after a day of touring Kilkenny. I highly recommend this listing and would happily visit again. Kate provided eggs and fresh bread that served as a good breakfast before we adventures out for the day.

One of the most amazing place in which we stayed. Kate and her family was very nice to us (even brought us delicious homemade treats to have breakfast with) and the house was cozy, well equipped and very comfortable (the bed is amazing). We hope to come back eventually, because we fell in love with the place (and the super cute animals - Zelda we'll miss you).

This tucked away Studio is a lovely quiet hideaway, great for a rural getaway. It is small but comfortable and we thoroughly enjoyed our week's stay there. It is not far from very good roads to the coast and to lots of interesting local places to visit.

If you're looking to escape the Spanish heat by finding an idyllic location in the Irish countryside, this is one of the places to do so. Lovely stay, with lovely hosts. One of the best things for me in Ireland with AirBnB is cooking where I am staying with local foods. There was fresh made bread waiting for us, with Irish made butter. There was also cucumber and tomato left from a previous guest. The bread, with rashers and local eggs (chickens were laying but birds were eating) made for one of the best breakfasts I have ever had. You can sit outside or in, watch the chickens who escaped wander past, enjoy the relative seclusion and the country sides. Just a nice place to relax. The goats and sheep were fun to look at and have close by. The dogs and cat were super friendly, but if not a fan, the host can keep them a bit. Whistle is awesome, soft, friendly and a cat princess. Not a dog person but I liked playing fetch with the one as it added to the ambiance. High speed wireless internet meant that I could take a business call on (SENSITIVE CONTENTS HIDDEN) without any problems. Hosts also recommended the Carlow Farmer's Market on the way to our next destination. This was a great find as the eggs we got from there turned out to be super delicious. I'd recommend to others. Do be prepared for driving rural country unmarked roads if going there.

I am a musician who works with a children's theatre company and teaches the fiddle to kids. I grow flowers and vegetables in abundance! I also love yoga and walking. I live with my husband James, and son Teige. James is a conservation consultant for old buildings and he has renovated several houses beautifully, including our own. Teige is 12 and is a great musician and swimmer.
