Maria was great in communicating with us prior to our arrival and during our stay. She had her friend meet us on time and any problems she was very quick to respond and help. The apartment is very spacious and has everything you need to make your stay enjoyable. It is located in a great part of Torino, very close to the major sights, shopping and some really great restaurants. The only thing we had a problem with was parking, it was hard to find a free space close by (there are parking stations nearby but ok if you have a small car and not a big one like ours). We were there during the middle of summer and the temperatures were very hot. The apartment has no air conditioning and a couple of fans. It was very very hot inside that apartment and the fans and having the windows open do not provide any relief from the heat. This apartment would be benefit from having air conditioning being installed in all the rooms. I would definitely stay there again but not in the middle of summer.
The apartment is wonderful, in the city centre of Torino, and near the public transports. The owner is really nice, and we really enjoy our stay!
I wish I could say it was one of my better experiences, but unfortunately I can not. First, Maria did not reach out to me prior to my arrival date. Instead I had to reach out to her to figure out the meeting time, as well as getting an exact address and the parking information (which I had inquired about several times in emails with no answer). Parking is in an underground lot nearby for 30euros a day. Instead of meeting at our arrival time in the evening, she wanted someone to pick up the keys a day before our arrival because it worked better for her schedule and only gave me a few hours notice of this. She was very last minute with information. It was not very good business nor considerate of our schedule as were not even in Turin yet, but I did what I could to arrange someone picking up the keys to accommodate her personal schedule. The BIGGEST issue is when we stayed at the apartment, we were awoken at 8am to jackhammer drilling, concrete being torn up, hammers being hit and VERY LOUD construction right immediately above us. This continued all day. It was so loud, you could not speak to each other. We could not enjoy breakfast as a family, nothing. We had to leave the apartment. I informed Maria immediately. All she said was she didnt know of any construction being done. I told her I even recorded the audio for her to listen to. She stopped by later that day to witness it, but offered no information or even financial discounts. Second day, the same UNBELIEVABLY LOUD construction woke everyone at 8am and we knew we needed to leave. This was not worth the money we paid. I told Maria, we would not be renting the 3rd night and we left. I will say she didn't offer any problems with us leaving early. I do wish she would have communicated with me that MAJOR construction was being done to the upstairs units but she did not. She admits that she does not live there, but it also makes me wonder just how often she checks on her units that she rents out on Airbnb. If you're looking for an inexpensive apartment with many bedrooms and willing to risk the communication problems, plus pay 30euros a day for parking then this is the place. I've had better hosts and I'll pay for a hotel rather than deal with such noise.
I'm surprise for you e-mail - you are the only one that did not enjoy to stay in this apartment and in this position - as you were arriving at 10 pm you proposed me that your cousin could have pick up the key and I accepted - yes my fault I did not reply to you immediately, but you knew the house address and others informations like parking etc- are even written on the schedule of the apartment - depending on the deal you make parking place can cost much less.... in USA to leave a car in an underground parking in the storic, walking center of a town cost even more,
Yes I'm not informed day per day if the family leaving upstair is making some (email hidden) happend when you were here - for this I'll pass by to you - to check if at least worker was respecting the time of work - I met your parents, you were not there, they told me the noise was not bad at all ..in fact there was no noise at that time...they were enjoying the house and the place Torino and I had not to be worry for that and that you used to complain a lot. Apart of this and a little delay on communication is not true I do not care about guests - unfortunately you did not enjoy your 2 nights stay and I'm not happy for this
La descripción del anuncio se corresponde con la realidad. Una casa grande y acojedora en el centro mismo de Turín. Sin duda una experiencia muy recommendable. María se portó muy bien y estudo disponible en todo momento. ¡Un gran acierto!
Good communications with Maria beforehand and a welcome from a colleague on arrival. The apartment is HUGE, with four double bedrooms and two lovely bathrooms. Spacious, friendly kitchen-dining room (but it could do with more electric light). Wonderful to have Wi-Fi available. Great central location for sight-seeing in Turin.
Just one thing to mention from the description - the iron doesn't work. And please oil the creaking doors!
The reservation was canceled 34 days before arrival. This is an automated posting.
