About this listing
Very Convenient Location - Steps from Metro Stop (Oakland City Marta Station), located near downtown(3 stops south of five points station), super easy commute to Airport(4 stops north of airport). Capitol View is a residential neighborhood, with a bohemian mixed with inner city vibe. Transitional neighborhood with lots of urban pioneering going on.
One of 5 private rooms in our 5 bedroom/4 bath brick 1920's brick bungalow with creative, stylish decor, classic vintage details, spacious rooms, and nice big communal kitchen available for guests to use.
Each room has an en-suite vanity sink and a big industrial desk with office chair.
2 full bathrooms are shared by guests. I live downstairs in the in-law suite and have my own bathroom. There is also an area downstairs outfitted with Luxury Crash Pads for solo travelers on a budget with minimal needs. Everyone has access to the common areas and garden.
Easy going host that is helpful and wants guests to feel like they are staying with family or friends. Guests are usually very considerate and interesting to chat with.
3 very sweet and loving dogs(Mayfield, Pepita, and Veruca) who co-host.
Social atmosphere, but also peaceful, calm and tranquil.
No TVs here, only music.
Free WIFI, Parking, and laundry facilities.
Very fresh and clean. Quality cotton linens and bedding.
This is one of 3 properties in the same neighborhood that I host guests in, with similar decor and amenities. When booking a Private Room, you will be staying in one of them. I will give you the exact address as your reservation dates approach. I very much look forward to hosting you, and I want to make your stay here in Atlanta the best it can be! Tracy
The listing was accurate. The host was welcoming after she eventually opened the door. As she has no doorbell, the only way you can reach her is via cell phone or text.
The neighborhood was very neglected and has no amenities. It's not walker-friendly as there is no place to go. You need a car even though the house is close to a Marta Station; so you can access the larger city. Atlanta is a beautiful city but this neighborhood is scary, to say the least.
Super easy to find. Conveniently located whether you have a car or not. Tracy is a sweet host. Loved the house, furnishings, decor, thoughtful details. Slept great in uber comfy bed. Loved the dogs, especially Pepita! Wish I had more time to hang out and talk with other guests. The rest of my stay in Atlanta was at The Midtown W Hotel. I much preferred my private room at Tracy's!!! Especially when you consider the cost difference $50/night vs. $200/night + a shitload of taxes. Looking forward to coming back with my man and hanging out at one of Tracy's Vintage Bungalows!!!
We had a wonderful stay in Tracy’s beautiful vintage bungalow. Our flight arrived after dark and considering we were two women travelling, it was very comforting to have her pick us up at the MARTA station. We were welcomed by her sweet dogs, which made me feel right at home and Tracy gave us a tour of the place so that we were acquainted. Her hospitality and easy going demeanor is the tone that is set through the home (with some really amazing decor!). We were fortunate to meet some fellow travellers who were staying there at the same time. What is excellent about Tracy’s vintage bungalow, is that there is space to have some down time on your own and engage socially too. It’s the best of both worlds!
This is a beautiful house. I slept perfectly well, for the first time in the United States probably. In addition, the garden is gorgeous, this is an ideal place for resting and reading. Tracy is very helpful, friendly, pro, and most of the people there are extremelly nice. The location - close to the Marta station - is perfect.
I felt very welcome. I did not have treats, so she gave me some of hers and made certain that I knew my way well around the house. I felt it was well worth it and would go again. Thank you!~
My experience was awesome! Great location. Beautiful home. Comfortable bed. Wonderful hosts!!!! Better than a 5 star, seriously...

About the Host, Vintage Bungalow
Easy going, creative types. We like cooking, entertaining, local, organic food, yoga, good wine, lots of good music, art, film, animals, nature, sailing, the ocean, traveling, calm and tranquil spaces, and try to find beauty in all things. We love to have fun and not take life too seriously. We enjoy hosting and meeting new friends from all cultures and backgrounds and don't really follow the mainstream of American culture much at all. We love to buy houses and fix them up. We have quite a few places where we host guests and try to be as accommodating as possible. When staying in a private room, you will be in a room in one of our houses, most likely, there will be a couple of dogs in the house as well, so animal lovers usually love staying with us. Our properties are in lower income neighborhoods where real, local ATLiens live. You won't see many tourists around, mostly, just typical working class folks who love to sit on the front porch and unwind as part of Southern culture. We always say hello to each other in passing, so please be friendly and observe our friendly custom when encountering locals, they will appreciate the gesture. Because we are in a lower income neighborhood, we can offer more upscale accommodations to travelers on a budget. Also, for travelers relying on public transportation, we are on the Marta line conveniently situated halfway between the Airport and downtown. Our rates are very reasonable and not subject to negotiation. Rates, terms, and policies are fixed and applied equally to all guests. We look forward to hosting you one day soon.
