Veronique and Jimmy were fantastic host. They are both friendly and answered all our questions exceptionally fast.
The apartment looks exactly as is shown in the pictures. It was our first time staying in accommodations of this size (think small/compact european living), and we enjoyed every bit of it. The unique layout (placement of dinning table, washroom, shower etc.) makes the area feel very comfy and seem a lot bigger than it actually is. Also, something that we haven't really seen at other Airbnb's is the addition of a laundry machine and dryer - very useful and a plus for anybody thinking of staying for a week or longer. The apartment itself is located very close to a Lobelaws should you forget to bring essentials with you. Furthermore, many restaurants are within walking distance and the unique Biodome is relatively close (around 8ish minute drive or a 25 minute walk - we walked the distance on a nice day). It is quite a distance from the downtown core, but the city transit is easy to understand and car2go cars are literally available on every block. I would definitely stay here again and recommend the apartment to anybody visiting Montreal.
The apartment is very clean and nicely decorated. Any more than two people may feel cramped, as the space is fairly small. The shower is in the kitchen, with the bathroom being a cubby with closet doors separating it from the rest of the apartment. Make sure you're extremely comfortable with whoever you travel with :)
It is very close to the metro, and a 24 hour diner that we found ourselves at most nights. Very quiet street, and a nice central location.
Veronique was very nice. She lives directly upstairs, and makes herself available by phone if you need anything.
My boyfriend and I had a great time stay at Veronique and Jimmy's place! It's a great studio, in a very cute neighborhood. There's a grocery store nearby, and it's a short walk to the nearest metro station. The hosts are very welcoming, and were able to give good recommendations for places to go. The place is exactly as described. The floors are pretty thin (the apartment is on the bottom floor), which was no problem for us, but could be worth noting if you're a really light sleeper. Overall, a great experience! We would definitely stay here again if we're back in Montreal.
We really enjoyed our stay at the studio apartment. Veronique was very friendly & helpful when we arrived. She answered questions we had about the area, and gladly let us lock our bikes to their gate along the house. I loved how the kitchen had everything we needed (other than a coffee pot or French press) and they supplied more than enough sheets, towels, blankets, pillows, etc. The apt was clean and nicely decorated. For being so small, they made good use of the space.
We also really like the neighborhood. It felt very safe, had easy parking, and had a great supermarket about 2 blocks away. Very close to bike paths too! We walked to the Botanical Gardens & Olympic Stadium area in about 10-15 minutes.
As a side note, I would only stay here with someone I was very close to, due to privacy issues. : ) The shower stall was in the kitchen, and the sliding doors on the toilet/sink closet barely closed.
If we return to Montreal, I would definitely stay here again!
Jimmy helped us figure out the front door and gave us some brief suggestions for nearby restaurants.
It's a beautifully put-together studio right next to a park. Keep in mind that the shower's in the kitchen and the bathroom door is, like, two bay doors with gaps on the side that you can see out of and may afford less privacy than one's used to. Depending on time of day, you may have to drive around a little bit to find street parking, but it was ultimately fine for us.
Very friendly and responsive hosts.
This apartment was exactly as described and perfect for my boyfriend and I while we were in Montreal for vacation. The Metro is just a few blocks away and there Bixi Scheme bikes just around the corner. The location was so convenient! Would definitely stay there again!
Jimmy greeted us graciously upon our arrival in Montréal. He informed us about the local area (metro, grocery store, etc.) and told us he would be available if need be. The arrangements are quite cozy and very clean, located in a nice area of the city, and near ample public transpo. Further, there is plenty of parking! Overall, I would rate this flat 5 stars for its wonderful charm and nice hosts!
