Very comfortable, modern, clean, and incredibly well-located apartment in Roma Norte/Condesa. Walking distance to the best of the city and lots of public transportation.
Spacious apartment in a new, clean, and comfortable building. This apartment receives lots of natural light, fresh air, is earthquake-proof, and includes front and rear balconies. Lots of security with a 24-hour doorman and security camera, sealed windows and sliding doors that keep out almost all noise (extremely hard to find in Mexico), water- and energy-saving installations and light-fixtures, a firm, new mattress with plenty of bedding, pillows, and towels.
It's hard to overstate how well-located this apartment is. Within 10 minutes you can walk to the following: Bosque Chapultepec (largest forest park in the city)
Museo de Antropologia (best museum in the country)
Zona Rosa nightclubs and restaurants
Avenida Reforma/Torre Mayor/La Diana
Avenida Insurgentes, Parque Mexico and Parque Espana
Condesa/Roma Norte and ~100 restaurants and cafes
and all the public transportation lines on Reforma, Insurgentes, and metro line 1 (pink line that crosses city and reaches the airport).
Additionally there are several hospitals, supermarkets, department stores, art galleries, gyms, and free bike rental stations all within walking distance, and a secure taxi stand on the corner.
Guests have access to the full bedroom and bathroom, living/dining room, and full kitchen. Guests are also welcome to use the washer/dryer and detergent free of charge, and there is an iron with ironing board. The apartment includes free wifi internet access as well.
Guests are welcome to invite friends as long as a reasonable noise level is maintained. The sofa, while not really designed for sleeping, is adequate enough if a third guest wants to stay (also free of charge).
Interaction with Guests
I am happy to provide recommendations for places to visit during your stay.
Please refrain from smoking in the apartment. There are front and back balconies which you're welcome to use. Also, this is generally a quiet building! If you play music or invite others, please be respectful with noise levels.
Matt has a nice place, exactly as described and seen in the pictures. It's spacious and in a very good location, close to great running paths, museums, the metro and good restaurants. A few hiccups on the day of arrival (but I put it down to it being New Year's Eve) Matt wasn't in town but had a friend meet us and Matt was always available online. Unfortunately the place hadn't been cleaned, there were no towels or toilet paper and the internet wasn't working. But they were all sorted on that same day (except for the toilet paper). The bed is quite small. It's a quiet neighborhood (except for one time a street vendor below was playing loud music all night). But overall it was an enjoyable and comfortable stay for my first time visiting Mexico City.
I apologize again for the initial state of the apartment. This was indeed due to the holidays, the cleaning woman arrived much later than normal and I wasn't aware of it until I heard from the guest. The internet was working but I had updated the password and left it on a note, which apparently was thrown away by a previous guest. So, several unfortunate bumps but Catalina was patient. Thank you!
From the beginning Matt was very easy to communicate with and when we arrived the apartment was just as described in the listing. Matt couldn't greet us himself upon arrival but let us know well in advance and coordinated a friend to check us in. The location is really centralized between most everything you want to do in Mexico City and is also very convenient to metro. The bed was a bit firm for my friends taste, but I didn't mind. Overall the apartment was clean, comfortable, and convenient just as described.
Great welcome from Matt. The apartment was as described and clean. The location is in a great neighbourhood a short distance to shops, bars and restaurants. The whole stay was very easy.
A nice apartment in a great location. Matt seems good bloke; he gave lots of good info pre-trip to help find the place and was there to meet me. I would really recommend Roma as a base to explore the city. I had a fun few days wondering the streets there and hanging out in coffee shops.
Clean and comfortable apartment in a great neighbourhood. Great light, and facilities. Internet a little patchy but I would certainly recommend. Matt was flexible with check in and out which was greatly appreciated.
Matt's place has everything you need and it's in a perfect location close to Reforma, the zona rosa, and condessa. Even the centro historico is within walking distance. The apartment is very clean, and seems new. The kitchen is really nice and well equipped. The only downside would be that the internet was a little unreliable. Overall, I would definitely recommend staying here.
