This was a great find. The apartment was clean and spacious, complete with a shared terrace and kitchen space for other people in the suite (although in my two nights there, I only ran into one other person.) Marina was incredibly sweet; she took good care of me. On my last day, she brought me a pastry from the bar she works at and drove me to the train station (which is only a 15 minute walk). It is a bit out of the center of the city, but a cab ride costs 12 euros and the bus is even cheaper. Overall, I would recommend Marina and her apartment for a quick, convenient, comfortable and safe stay in Rome!
Marina's apartment is a very good place to stay in Rome. The apartment seems to have been recently refurbished - everything looks new and in excellent condition. The single room that I stayed in had a private bath, and while not a big room - it was definitely big enough for one person. A common kitchen and a small porch are also available for use. Marina does not live in this apartment, so you don't feel like 'invading' somebody's privacy - only you and renters of the other rooms (which I rarely saw) are there.
For the price you pay the location of the apartment is good - it's not in the city center, but it's just about 12 minutes walk north of the Termini (central bus/train station), and within a 2-minute walk from the apartment there are bus and tram stations that take you to the city center and to all tourist attractions.
Marina was extremely nice and helpful, answered all my questions and responded very quickly. Communication with her was easy - she speaks good-enough English, and most of our communication was in writing, with (website hidden) Translate's help in translating her Italian to English :)
Overall I enjoyed very much staying in her apartment, and will definitely consider staying there again next time I'm in Rome.
An excellent place to stay! The apartment was perfectly clean and silent, with plenty of storage space. Wi-Fi and air conditioning worked well, and the location is very convenient (at a walking distance from Roma Termini, and there are many bus stops nearby).
Marina, thank you for being the part of my wonderful vacations in Rome. Your are very nice host and keep comfortable apartment. The room is clean and quiet, special pluses for the terrace :). Apartment is on walking distance from Colosseum and other remarkable sights but it also have a perfect transport connection (bus stop is right near the house). I would gladly recommend it to my friend.
Hope to see you again
Ciao a grazie mille :)
After getting by plane and train to rome, it was a short walk to Marina's véry nice and tidy house from Roma Termini.
She gave me a warm welcome and showed me my room and the rest of the house.
The room was in perfect condition with a private bathroom and airco, kitchen also very good. I've stayed 6 nights and enjoyed both Rome and the appartment!
Marina told me I'd fall in love with Rome. Well, I got some butterflies but I need to return for the rest of the miracle.
All in all I really would recommend Marina's house because it's a very nice and clean place, a good location near station and metro.
Marina is a nice and helpfull lady.
Thanks for the nice week!
Stayed there for 5 nights and wished i could have stayed longer. Marina was a warm and welcoming host which made my stay even better. One day i accidentally left my keys in the room and Marina had to come all the way from her home to open the door for me. Felt very guilty and touched as she wasn't angry at all and was all smiles. The room was nicely decorated and clean. Even though the apartment is located at the 3rd floor but no worries as the building has an elevator. The place is located nearby acient/central rome (15 mins bus ride) and walking distance to the central terminal. Nearby there's a fantastic pizza place (il podista), care, laundry & two supermarkets. So you have everything you need close at hand.
Absolutely recommend this place as i know i'll be staying here again if i ever visit Rome again. Grazie mille Marina!
I can recommend the bed and breakfast of Marina to other travellers. The rooms are just as nice as on the pictures, everything is really clean and the service of Marina is good as well. Overall it has been a very pleasant stay:)
Muy amable Marina, siempre dispuesta a ayudar. Departamento muy seguro y limpio. Grata estadía en Roma. Grazie Marina!
