Pedro's apartment is in an amazing location and he is an excellent host! He left us detailed maps of the city, suggested itineraries and gave us a lot of ideas for things to see while visiting Lisboa. The apartment was very clean and the terrace was wonderful!
We stayed 4 nights at Pedro's Alfama 2 You, but felt like we could stay here for months. It had everything. Pedro's mom greeted us when we checked in. She speaks little English and we speak little Portuguese, but she made everything perfectly clear. Everything: how to use dishwasher, clothes washer, appliances, door locks, and WIFI; and where to find extra linens, towels, etc. She even took us up to the roof to show us the fantastic views of Lisbon and pointed out some landmarks. The kitchen is very well equipped. The bed is super comfy. Pedro has done a superb job with custom maps showing nearby sites, bars, restaurants, grocery stores, etc. And he has several pages of reviews of bars and restaurants. (Tia Natercia was booked for the nights we were there, but we had a very nice supper with guitar music at Bistro Gato Pardo.) Just around the corner is a fine place for coffee. The super cool Tram #28 runs right by the front door with stops close by. Best to ride early in the morning before it gets crowded.
The place was wonderful. Clean and tidy, and welcoming. Really well provided for. The shower was perfect and the bed was big and comfy. The view from the terrace on the top of the building is stupendous!
Getting the key was super easy and there were no hassles the entire time we stayed.
Transport is amazingly simple with the tram running directly outside, and yet there's no noise and the place is beautifully quiet. So nice to come back to to recharge after a day of seeing beautiful Lisbon. There are lots of great little coffee shops and mini-restaurants/eateries nearby.
Generally the place is incredible and we were sad to leave. Highly recommended.
I'm Pedro and I have a beautiful flat in the middle of Alfama: Lisbon's oldest and most typical neighbourhood were the demonstrations of friendship and good neighborliness is daily. Alfama itself with is old buildings and alleys gives you an impression that you are in the medieval village inside the city of Lisbon.
I started sharing my apartment it turns out that I really enjoy doing it. Many people stay inhere only for a few days. The result was the oportunity to meet people from other places from all over the world, so meeting other cultures is something that I started to admire and enjoy sharing may culture and provide tips of where to go and what to see that my guests can't find easily in tourist guides so you could feel in Lisbon like a real "lisboeta" ;-) I am friendly and easy going. Travel is one of my favorite things, I had been in Budapest, Brasil, London, France and I had simply enjoyed :)
Come to visit Lisbon!
