This was our first Airbnb experience and Betsy's place was a perfect fit! I went to Baltimore for a wkend workshop and my 19 yr old daughter decided to tag along to check out the city. The location was ideal for our needs and Betsy's home was warm and a great place to return to at the end of a long day. The bed in our room was totally amazing and the towels were even yummier! Also, we had no trouble parking on her street. We were fortunate enough to spend our last evening in town getting to know Betsy and a few of her friends a little better. She is one of the cool people walking the planet!
Betsy was great! Great location, safe. House, room, bathroom were clean. She even made breakfast and coffee with my mom. She was very flexible with our schedules. Will stay again in the future. Highly recommended.
Betsy was truly a phenomenal host, and simply just a joy to be around. Her and her son Dylan made me feel very comfortable and welcomed in their home from the very start. It was safe, clean, and located in the perfect vicinity. I strongly recommend this listing to any travelers to Baltimore. Two thumbs up, indeed!
I stayed with Betsy and her son for two months during an internship in Baltimore. The time there was just fantastic. The room and house were equipped with everything you need! The neighborhood was really nice - it was lovely to just relax on the front porch at times. I even met some of the really nice neighbors!
Bus 27 - which takes you directly downtown - stops just at the end of the street. There is a supermarket and lot of places to get food nearby.
Overall I could not have imagined a better host!
Thank you so much :)
Betsy was a great host. I really enjoyed staying in her apartment, where I stayed for three months. Safe neighbourhood. Half an hour walk from the homewood JHU campus. Five minutes from the supermarket.
I had two wonderful months in Baltimore staying with Betsy. She's a very sympathetic and helpful host. The room is very nice, as well as her whole place, which is located in a pleasant area of the city, close as well to the center of the suburb as to the next light rail station. Besides that, I really enjoyed meeting Betsy on a personal level a lot, she welcomed me in a very friendly way, I enjoyed chatting with her in the evenings, and she was very supportive in whatever question I might have encountered during my stay in Baltimore. Furthermore, Betsy's very nice cat will happily welcome you.
Betsy's lovely home is in perfect keeping with the fun, funky, eclectic, artistic neighborhood in which it is situated. The bed was super comfortable. The accommodations very clean. Charlie Chaplin, her cat, will greet you upon arrival. My trip to Baltimore was short, so I did not have much time to interact with Betsy, but I will say that she was friendly, welcoming, and helpful in arranging the details of my stay. I highly recommend her place to anyone planning to visit the Baltimore area and hoping to stay in a real neighborhood with lots of great shops and restaurants close by.

I am an artist/art teacher working in the Maryland public school system. I am into my 3rd year as an Airbnb host and I love it! I have people come stay with me from all over the world for a variety of reasons. Many medical students have stayed with me who are doing rotations at Sinai Hopsital, Union Memorial Hospital, University of Maryland and Johns Hopkins University Hospital. I am also convenient to Loyola University and the Hopkins Homewood campus. My house is just a few blocks from the Cold Spring Light Rail station and the entrance to Route 83 (Jones Fall Expressway) and the #27 bus stops at the bottom of my street as does the Johns Hopkins Shuttle. My house is a short walk from both Roland Park and Hampden which both have plenty of restaurants and shops to enjoy and multiple gorgeous walking and biking paths for downtime. My quiet street has available free parking. I get real pleasure from helping people feel comfortable and settled if they are staying for 2 nights or 2 months.
