We had a great stay at Victor & Emma's place and a lot of that was down to Victor & Emma. They let us check-in early and check-out late, which I believe they do for guests whenever possible (and I must add: the official check-in time is better than 99% of other AirBnBs, which often only allow you access to the place you've hired in the mid- to late-afternoon). Communication was as good as you could want. The AC was extremely effective and that was very important as it was incredibly hot and humid in Rome during our stay. The amenities in the flat were all generally of a high standard although the WiFi only just about reached the sleeping area - this could be fixed quite easily I believe. The flat is super-central - right next to the Roman Forum, in fact - but the location will not suit all travellers as the adjacent streets do not have many amenities and it's certainly not a buzzing area. A 5-minute walk will get you to a busy street with lots of taxis and public transport, and really it's so central that it doesn't take long to get to anywhere in the city with a car. Overall, 5* from us!

All in all, we had a good stay at this apartment. The location is great (amazing view of ruins just a half block away!), communication was excellent, and check-in and out were very easy. The apartment was spacious and the AC worked great during a heat wave. It was a bit more worn in spots than expected and not as well-appointed as the photos presented. It was nothing major but a little less than expected based on photos. Overall would recommend staying here given location and price

Location is very close to many attractions in Rome, eg Colosseum, Rome Forum etc. We could just walk even for my old folks! We checked in really late due to some issues on the road but Emma was very kind to come by the next morning to explain very thoroughly all the things we will need and where we should visit etc. Great host!

The location of the flat is great and the neighborhood is nice and really quiet. The layout of the flat is not great if as you have to go through the bedroom to get to the toilet. Also the tax is not included which mean the price is alittle misleading.

Rented this apartment, on a short notice, for two days. Got a very quick response and the communication was very good. The apartment is located in a quiet neighborhood with walking distance to sites like Piazza Venezia (10min) and Colosseum (15min). The bed is very comfortable - one of the most comfortable I had on my Euro trip. The AC keeps the place cool and WIFI works well. Ruben did a good job showing the place and explaining how to use the keys. Could improve: I took the Metro to "Colosseum" (as suggested on Airbnb) and believed it was going to be easy walk from there. Well it wasn’t so easy, the reason is that if you use Airbnb-app to "show direction”, with (SENSITIVE CONTENTS HIDDEN)Map or AppleMap, it takes you wrongly right up the path to the old ruins of Rome forum, actually to ”Villa of Livia” (a dead end). This could easily be fixed. Considering this apartment has been rented out for a long time I'm surprised it gone unnoticed. After a long day of travel you don't want to get lost, like I did. To get around this you simply copy/paste the address into (SENSITIVE CONTENTS HIDDEN) or AppleMap and it shows you the right location - so don’t click ”show directions” in the app. Overall I thought the value for this apartment was decent - maybe my expectations were a little too high after reading the reviews - when you add cleaning fee, city tax, service charge, it’s almost the same price as a hotel. If I do it again i probably pay the little extra and get a hotel in the center.

We had a wonderful time at Victor and Emma's apartment. They had a driver waiting at the airport to take us directly to the apartment where we were met by Ruben who checked us right in and got us settled. Once we got a lay of the land we realized we could walk everywhere we wanted to go. We only required the metro once for the Vatican. The neighborhood felt very safe as well. The bed in this apartment is easily the most comfortable we have stayed in since arriving to Europe. I would definitely recommend this apartment as it is reasonably priced clean and a good location.
