About This Listing
Subli Guest Cabins is a unique alternative to the traditional accommodations in Puerto Princesa City, Palawan. It features bamboo cabins in a peaceful, camp-like atmosphere located in a private cul-de-sac 10 minutes from the airport. Subli prides itself in offering a laid-back, family-style ambience where guests can swap stories under a huge mango tree or help the kitchen staff prepare meals in our one-of-a-kind cooking hut. One may hang out in our screened reading hut or lay in a hammock under the mango tree. The options are yours.
Smoking is not allowed inside the cabins.
Eating in the cabins is discouraged in order to avoid roaches and rodents.
Quiet time starts at 11:00pm.
Overall excellent experience and would definitely stay here again. The place felt very cozy and the bird greets you "hello." Only concern is that the outlets in the room are 2-prong and not 3 which makes it difficult to charge laptops. The staff are really friendly and helpful.
Our time at Subli was fantastic! The staff there was amazing-and helped us with all of our bookings and arrangements while we were there. The cabin was comfortable and the hammocks and open area were icing on the cake. I would highly recommend this accommodation to anyone.
Amazing! An oasis of tranquility with wonderful staff!
Maria and the staff could not have been more accomodating and my girlfriend and i are truely thankful for their hospitality. An illness in the family left us scurrying to get back and the staff at Subli went above and beyond to help us sort things out. The grounds are furthermore a nice relaxing change from the busy streets of puerto princessa and the rooms of great value.
Ms nancy was very accomodating and always smiling. The girls were also very helpful. Rooms and bathrooms were clean. Free flowing coffee, tea and fresh milk all day. Food was good but i suggest that they offer other menu besides the breakfast meal all day. And i hope they serve their meals on time because it took quite a time before they serve their meals. Please provide cintronella candles as there are a lot of mosquitoes in the area. But over all we had a great time and i will definitely stay again in your place the next time we go back to puerto princesa. It is indeed a great experience staying at subli guest cabin. Highly recommended.
Subli became our second home.
All the staff were accommodating and helpful. Nancy became part of our family, she was very warm and kind. She even extended to us the use of her van/ driver to bring us to restaurants that we want to try. The place made us closer to nature. We enjoyed the cool winds because of the trees and chirping of birds. We love the library hut :) You are the best :) We miss you guys already! Take care and we will see you again on our next trip to Puerto Princesa :)
My flight was delayed and had let Nancy know right and they were accomodating in picking me up at a later time. Good thing for PP for being a small enough area that things are all relatively close. The room is exactly as described but what you can't tell is that the room really feels cozy. You do need to bring your toiletries as which is no big deal. They are really nice about providing breakfast for you and other assorted drinks. It was such a nice way to end my three week long vacation! Thanks!
About the Host, Maria Nancy
Owner/Manager of Subli Guest Cabins
In the local Cuyunon dialect, Subli refers to something inherited. In my case, I inherited the land from my parents. It came with this beautiful, huge mango tree that is now the centerpiece of my property. But not just the land. Almost everything at Subli Guest Cabins was inherited - wood from my grandmother's old house, furniture from my parents' and aunt's house, plants from cousins and aunts, books, magazines, pictures, from everyone. Subli is built on happy memories - we hope that it can be part of yours.
