Our personal style is a mix of Modern and Vintage design. We tend to use a neutral background to make the design objects and the art really pop. If you love reclaimed wood, vintage finds and bright bold colors as much as we do, then you'll love this space.
We live upstairs, in the main house with our 2 lovely children. The apartment was once a basement in our home, has since been converted into a studio apartment with its very own private entrance. It has a queen size bed, full size bathroom, and closet. Also includes a kitchenette with mini refrigerator, microwave, toaster, dishes, double sink, direct tv and wireless internet.
Our bright and spacious studio is newly remodeled and located ONE BLOCK from the beach. We're located 0.6 miles from Hermosa Beach Pier, 1.2 miles from Manhattan Beach Pier.
Located one block south of Martha's restaurant, known for their amazing breakfast and lunch menu. We are walking distance to both Hermosa and Manhattan Beach piers, which hosts numerous restaurants, bars and boutiques. You can also find bike, surf and skate rentals near by, along with public transit and taxi service. LAX Airport is located 7 miles from our house.
**We Live in the main house above the studio. Unfortunately we can't eliminate everyday living noise like walking, ect. However, we will do our best to make your stay as comfortable as we possibly can**
Guests will have access to our heated outdoor shower located in the courtyard. We can provide two beach chairs and an umbrella, which you will find next to the shower. Please store all wet and sandy beach gear in this area and not in the studio.

The fees for a 3rd guest is $20 per day and MUST be pre-approved BEFORE booking your reservation. No exceptions.
The mandatory state transient tax of 12% is included within your nightly rate.

*No smoking of any kind in studio or on the premises. Violation will result in a loss of deposit.
*No Parties. Violation will result in a loss of deposit and the reservation will be terminated.
*No Pets allowed. Violation will result in a loss of deposit and the reservation will be terminated.
*Guests will be held personally responsible for any damage or destruction of property caused by themselves, other occupants, children or guests. This includes soiled and or stained mattress, linens and towels. The property has a 2 person maximum unless otherwise discussed and approved by property manager.
*Please do not sit on sofa with wet swimsuits, any damage will result in a loss of deposit.

We ask that guests be respectful to the space and our neighbors by keeping noise levels down, especially after 9pm.
*We will provide a parking pass for 1 vehicle during your stay. Security deposit will NOT be refunded if parking pass is lost or stolen, as we will not be able to attain another one from the city of Hermosa Beach until the next calendar year. Please leave parking pass on the dining table when you check out.
**THE LAUNDRY ROOM IS OFF LIMITS EFFECTIVE 8/14**

*Please conserve energy by turning off all lights and electronics when not in use or when leaving the property.
*Please do not flush any feminine hygiene products, paper towels or baby wipes in the toilet.
*Please do not bring bath towels to the beach. You will find Teal beach towels in the studio.
*Please take trash and recycling to the dumpster located in the alley behind the property.
*Please be sure to clean dishes to avoid ants.
*In the cooler months we do provide a De'Longhi Oil-Filled Radiant Tower Electric Space Heater, automatically regulates the temperature by cycling between high, medium and low, with a 24 hour timer. Heating greater the 350 Sq. ft. **WE ASK THAT THE HEATER REMAINED POWERED OFF AND UNPLUGGED WHEN NOT IN USE FOR FIRE SAFETY AND CONSERVATION OF ENERGY**
*The Transient Occupancy Tax (TOT) is authorized under Title IV of the Los Angeles County Code (Code) Chapter 4.27 Transient Occupancy Tax. Under the Code, hotel/motel operators in the unincorporated areas of the County of Los Angeles are required to charge the TOT of twelve percent (12%) of the rent charged to "transient" guests. The TOT is also commonly known as a "bed tax." (Sec. 4.72.040 Imposition of tax—Amount)
It was our second time visiting this airbnb. Again we really enjoyed staying at Jessica's place. The studio is very clean and great decorated. They did some renovation in the bathroom and new flooring which look great. The studio is perfect located near Hermosa and a nice walking distance to Manhattan beach. And the best breakfast spot in town (Martha's) is almost next to it.
This is a great studio and in a excellent location. I was very please with my stay here and would definitely recommend Paul and Jessica's place to friends visiting the area.
My nine year old daughter and I just returned from a fantastic 8 day stay in Hermosa beach! If you are looking for a mellow time hanging at the beach, eating out in some great local restaurants and just kicking back like a local, there could be no more perfect place to nest than Paul and Jessica's sweet little studio. Just one block up from the excellent and well stocked Green Store, an easy stroll (in Jammies!) for your morning coffee, and the yummy and friendly Martha's 22nd Street grill, which is a great choice for breakfast or lunch, everything you really need is within a 2 block radius of the studio. The 22nd street beach is also the best one in the area, with clean, ample bathrooms, swing sets for the kids and mellow waves for boogie boarding or just lolling on the beach. Be aware that you are staying beneath a family home, so if your fantasy is sleeping late and perfect quiet, you may want to choose a different spot. However, for us, the scampering of little feet in the mornings was an easy trade for all this spot has to offer. Jessica was also constantly and cheerfully available to answer any question I had about any detail with either the property or excellent area recommendations. I would stay with Paul and Jessica again in a heartbeat!
Paul & Jessica's place was fantastic! Across Hermosa Ave a stones throw from the beach! Really cool outdoor shower design! Jessica was very friendly and responsive whenever we had any questions and guided us for bike rentals. We were given beach towels and chairs. Plus the chic design was fun and the bed was so comfortable! Would def come back!

My Husband Paul & I have lived in Hermosa Beach for well over ten years. We have two lovely kiddos and our own business that keeps us pretty busy. Paul and I enjoy everything that comes along with living by the beach. Paul enjoys the surf while I soak up the sun. We've had an amazing time hosting with Airbnb and strive to provide the best expierience for our guests.
