Amstelveen is the convenient city connected to Amsterdam. Within 20 min by bus or bike you can be in Amsterdam City Centre (bus (phone number hidden)) or Schiphol airport (bus 300).
Parking is free around the house if you come with a car.
We (one French, one Italian in our thirties) live here. The house has a spare bedroom that we like to use for friends, or for you. The bed is a single person bed that can be extended to a two-person bed (thank you Ikea).
The house has an herb garden with all the mint you need for an afternoon tea (in the summer).
The Cobra museum, the International school of Amsterdam (ISA) and a large shopping mall are within 5 minutes walking distance. Public transport to anywhere in NL and Europe is nearby. The RAI conference center is 30 minutes away. Great location for IBC Amsterdam, Aquatech, and other shows.
Bikes are available for free to our guests. The Amsterdamsebos bike path and the Amstel river path await you to guide you to Amsterdam center in 30 to 40 minutes.
La chambre est très propre, confortable. Nous y avons très bien dormi !
Nicolas est un hôte très sympathique avec qui il est agréable de discuter.
Merci encore pour cet accueil chaleureux !
Nicolas is very interesting, responsible and considerate. design and temperatures at the home.room and bathrooms are very clean.
full of sunshine.recommended
The room was lovely, and Nicholas and Natascia were very welcoming. Not only did they lend me a bike, and lights, they also have a stack of books about Amsterdam in the room, including one that was a city map, and thus very useful for getting around town (it even notes the bus and tram routes, so using public transit is super convenient). They also had good tips about what to see and do, which made for a lovely vacation in Amsterdam.
The house (and bathroom) was clean, the bed was comfortable. We could make tea.
Cycling to Amsterdam (with the bikes Nicolas lent us) was a good experience with a sunny weather... (along the Amstel river, the center of Amsterdam is 1 hour from the house_take a good map!).
The bus stop is only a few meters away from the house (40 minutes for city center).
Nicolas is a sympathetic guy, moreover, he lent us his museumkaart to avoid queuing in the museums (and the entrance was free).
Restaurants, supermarket, chemistry and free parking in front of the house.
We were at a wedding down the road so the location was perfect..
I strongly recommend Nicolas'place, the room looks just as in the picture, the bed is extremely comfortable and I appreciated the cleanness and tidiness all over the house. Moreover, Nicolas and his lovely partner give you great hospitality, and I got lots of good advices.
Highly recommended, A+++!
We enjoyed staying with Nicolas and Natascia who were friendly and very helpful. It is a pleasant place to stay and a way to get to know another side of the Amsterdam area. The bed is best for one person, but everything is very comfortable. Staying here gave us the chance to get to know Amstelveen, which is quite a nice suburb. Go see the CoBrA museum, it is worthwhile, and if the weather is nice, Ouderkerke-on-the-Amstel . Getting to Asterdam from Amstelveen is easy—multiple options such as trains, buses and trams that are all very frequent, but we would recommend it be done by bicycle (approximately a 40-minute bike ride into town)
The space was very clean and looks just as picture. He is consistent in his commitments, and a pleasant host. More than just a room, Nicholas is a pan European knowledge base and provided context to my visit.
i enjoyed my stay with Nicholas in his lovely house. It's a little quaint neighborhood, yet connected well with most of the places that i needed to goto (Centraal Station, Amsterdam RAI). Nicholas is a great host, very easy-going and relaxed. I would definitely recommend this place to first-time & repeat Amsterdam visitors. 5 Stars :)
