The Space

Hi, I'm Mike.

I would love to be your host and share the comfort and convenience of my two bedroom condo.

I'm located on the northern loop of Atlanta's perimeter highway -- I-285 -- with close-by access to I-75. Downtown Atlanta is twenty minutes away; Hartsfield Atlanta International Airport, about thirty minutes; Marietta, the next stop light.

The community is located in a landscaped office-park setting; clean, safe and gated. It's surrounded by office buildings on three sides and, through a bank of trees, a variety of retail establishments on one.

In less than two miles, you have:
-- Access to Interstate Highways I-75 and I-285.
-- Restaurants from fine dining to fast food to ethnic.
-- Cumberland Mall, hair stylists, taverns, banks, post office, movies, bookstores, gyms, tons of shopping opportunities.
-- Cobb Energy Performing Arts Centre.
-- Cobb Galleria Convention Centre.
-- Chattahoochie River National Recreation Area and hiking, running, biking trails along the river's scenic bank.

Literally, right next door:
-- Einstein Bros. Bagels
-- Boston Market
-- Smoothie King
-- Mike's New York Subs
-- Dry cleaners
-- CVS pharmacy
-- Public bus stops (CCT)

My unit is single level, no stairs; entry is ground level, no stairs. It is arranged for roommate privacy. Your bedroom and bath are on one side and mine on the other.

Your room has an amazingly-comfortable queen bed, dresser, flat screen TV, free Wi-Fi, lounge chair, small desk/work area, large closet, shower/garden tub combo, hair dryer, iron, ironing board

Make yourself at home in the common areas. Wash clothes, raid the fridge, make a cup of tea, hang out in the living room and listen to CDs, read books, sit out on the balcony, or be alone in your room. I totally respect your privacy. You also have access to the community swimming pool and tennis courts.

I do basic breakfast of some kind every morning. Let's discuss your favorites. I'm willing to accommodate. Coffee or tea, juice, and fruit for sure.

Other meals are not provided, but stay five days or more, and expect a big dinner on your last evening.

Full-service house cleaning every 7 days. Extra towels on request.

I share my side of the condo with Larry -- my senior-citizen dog. He's a 15- year-old mid-sized mutt, a former pet therapy dog, and a real sweetheart. He gets a little stressed around dogs friskier than he is (that's just about all in the canine world), so, sorry, but I cannot accommodate your pet as much as I'd like to.

Whether you're a business or leisure visitor to Atlanta, Larry and I look forward to being your hosts.

  • Second everything that's already been said below; great host, very hospitable. I would definitely recommend staying at Mike's place if you're in Atlanta.

  • Michael was such a great host: kind, respectful, clean, comfortable, helpful & hospitable. The office park condo was in a great area with gated entrance and lovely landscape and surroundings. The private room was very comfortable. Wow!

  • Nice and quiet area, beautiful home, friendly and helpful host, comfortable bed and spacial bathroom. I had a 5-star stay there! Thanks Mike!

  • Michael is a gracious and charming host. I was at his house during a week of training and it was delightful to come "home" from the stress of that venture to be greeted by laid back, hospitable and generous Michael and friendly-but-not-hyper Larry. By west coast standards the bedroom is large. The condo is clean and comfortable. The bed is so comfy I wanted to take it with me. Michael is a very good host and a wonderful cook. I recommend him.

  • Mike was an excellent host! He went above and beyond to make my stay comfortable. I was a little hesitant when booking because I'm not a fan of dogs, but Larry was great. The room was exactly how it looked in the pictures. I would stay here again in a heartbeat.

  • Michael was an incredibly gracious host. Very accommodating and thoughtful, but not at all intrusive. And his faithful friend, Larry, was as sweet as could be too. Michael's home is warm and inviting, very clean (great for this clean-freak), and exactly as advertised. The bed was super comfortable too!
He made wonderful breakfasts every day, which was a really special treat since I was leaving early each morning for all-day classes. And he even made a homemade dinner one evening.
Anyone would be more than pleased to visit with Michael & Larry! They're conveniently located close to lots of shopping, dining, and attractions and easily accessible with little/no traffic. I'll definitely be back for my next class in Atlanta!

  • Michael was an excellent host (and so was Larry, his very friendly dog.) He made us feel as if his home was ours. We had a private suite with our own bathroom. Each morning Michael had a lovely breakfast for us. He also took us out for dinner and drove us around to see some of Atlanta's sights. This was our first Airbnb experience. We hope that all of our future experiences are a good as this one. We would definitely stay with Michael again in the future.

Single retired guy living with my dear old dog Larry. I'm half Italian, half hillbilly, and Liberal, so I'm naturally a good host. I love meeting new people and sharing a glass of wine (or sour mash, if you'd druther). I'm a retired advertising agency account director, do a little freelance writing, and have a 2-year old granddaughter that makes me smile. I don't smoke or chew or do drugs, and I manage to keep cussin' to a minimum. Larry and I would welcome the opportunity to be your hosts in Atlanta.
