The Space

Private bedroom with a beautiful full size bed. Very quiet neighborhood. Your own bathroom with shower. Quiet part of Napa about two miles from the center of downtown Napa. Fresh Napa Valley breezes every night. The house is 1300 sf on a 0.23 acre lot. Cable TV in living room. Plenty of free street parking. Smoking permitted in the private back yard, not in the house. Gas and wood BBQ grills available. Killer breakfasts are available for $15 per meal, with advance request. Exercise bike available to work it off afterwards! Washer/dryer. Two guests max. Come and go as you please 24/7.

Please contact me via an inquiry before you make a reservation request. This is a chemical FRAGRANCE FREE home. I enjoy welcoming guests into my home, but if you wear chemically scented colognes, after shaves, hair sprays, body sprays, or perfumes, I can't. Most stuff with herbal fragrance from Whole Foods or health food stores is okay, but strong chemical fragrances are a non-starter here.

  • Steve is a warm, welcoming host. I had a short stay at his house the night before attending the HITS Triathlon at Lake Berryessa. The house is conveniently located in Napa and the room is quiet, clean and well kept. Steve does everything to make you feel at home and I would definitely stay here again.

  • I stayed with Steve before running the Napa Valley Marathon. Steve was very helpful in getting me settled and making sure I was comfortable. Very cheap, good alternative to hotels!

  • I stayed with Steve for the Napa Valley Marathon. It was a great location, close to the expo and the place where the shuttles picked up in the morning. The price was great and Steve is an awesome, accommodating guy. I definitely recommend his place for the marathon.

About
Since 2009, I am Creative Director at Caltext Creative, a publicity and brand enhancement firm located in Napa, California, USA. I am also President of StevesWood, purveyor of fine grilling and BBQ supplies. I am also an ordained minister, so I can marry you (to someone else) while you’re here. I can also do baptisms and burials at sea. And I provide knowledgeable top-notch livery services to wine country visitors who want to tour the beautiful Napa-Sonoma-Lake-Mendocino wine country. Before the worldwide economic collapse, I made a decent living as a Registered Civil Engineer providing water quality compliance assistance to resource agencies, water and irrigation districts, municipalities, and other public and private organizations. And before that, I was Farm Manager and Vineyard Operator at Oak Hill Vineyards in Healdsburg, Sonoma County. I was responsible for all agricultural operations, land development, chemical recommendations/ applications, and grower/winery liaison, and I delivered up to 300 tons per year to some of the top wineries of the time.
