The apartment was clean and quite. Good location too.
Alessandro was very good to deal with and we got prompt response from him. Also he was very accommodating to our last minute check out extension request.
The unit is about what you could expect for $150 in NYC. The unit itself was squarely in Chinatown but it was very convenient to the Grand Street subway station. Lower East Side bars, restaurants, and shops were just a few blocks away. The elevator in the building wasn't working, so we had to walk the 6 stories. The stairs were riddled with cigarette butts and trash. The unit could have been a little cleaner for my preferences but I've seen worse. The shower barely spit out any water. The host met us early in the morning as we requested and helped us store our bags until the current guest vacated the unit. That was helpful and an easy process. You get what you pay for...next time I might pay a little more!
The apt was convenient to the lower East Side but it is in Chinatown. The area smells bad when you walk around. Communication was good w the host however...I was Not happy with the condition. It was Not filthy but floors could use a mopping. The sheets on the bed Were Not changed!!! There were several long hairs on the sheets as if someone slept in them prior to me arriving. My friend was skeeved out and actually slept in her clothes on top of the covers. I would not stay here again. By the way the apt is on the 6th floor & of course the elevator did not work. You can imagine how frustrating this was for me considering I chose this place for the elevator!! Carrying your full luggage was not what I had in mind! The hallways leading to the 6th floor were disgusting. Cigarettes thrown every where & spit
The apartment was pretty much exactly as described, although the address listed is ~5/6 blocks north from where it actually is (the apartment is just north of Canal in Chinatown). Parking was easy to find at the municipal lot at Delancy & Essex. Place was clean, comfy, and the host was very easy to coordinate with. Would definitely stay there again!
The house and host was great! It was same as the pictures. And there were tools to cook. The place was clean.
After check out, he willing to keep our luggage. We were appreciated his understanding.
Also, the location was pretty close to Little Italy and Soho :)
We enjoyed our stay. The apartment was clean, and was a good value for three people. This is a no-frills kind of place, but that does not mean it was uncomfortable. Quite the opposite. It felt like staying at a friend's apartment while they were out of town. I think the neighborhood is technically Chinatown, although a friend of mine thinks it might be an area that will have its own name in a few years (as the borderlands between urban neighborhoods tend to, ie Bedford Hill in Brooklyn or NoLIta in Manhattan). All in all a very good stay. Allessandro is very responsive, both in text messages and emails. I would rate this 5 stars, although I am taking off 1 star because the linens, towels, and pillows are in need of an update.
