  • Charles is a great host and his cats are lovely. The room is very nice and everything meets the description and pictures published on airbnb. I enjoyed my stay in his apartment and if I am in NY again, I will try to book the same room. Highly recommended!

  • Charles was a fantastic host. So willing to help at every turn. He gave me a metro card so I wouldn't have to buy one, and even gave me a paper with instructions on how to make better food at home because I showed interest in his cooking. All around good guy and great experience. A++

  • I have just praises about the two weeks I spent at the Charles apartment. The room is large with a comfortable bed and convenient closet, plus a great tv. The big 3 bedrooms apartment offers a great location, close to subway and dozens of all kind conveniences. Charles is helpful, caring, friendly and communicative. Claire (his girlfriend) and Alberto (his roomate) are also very nice people. Charles keeps his home clean and he is also a great cook. It would be great to come back to NY in the future to be his guest again. I'll definitely recommend to other travellers.

  • Charles is great, and his bedroom is quite luxurious.

  • Staying at Charles' was great! He is an amazing host, very welcoming and helpful. I also have to say that he makes terrific tasty juices, yummy!! The apartment is huge, very well organized and neat although with character and charm. I love it! The bedroom is quite large and it really has all you need, all amenities. The bed is amazingly comfy, there is a huge screen in the bedroom with netflix etc and the wifi works perfectly. I had the chance to meet his girlfriend Claire and his roommate Alberto, they all made me feel like at home. Thanks a lot! I highly recommend either staying or hosting Charles, you'll have a wonderful experience!

  • Charles was a great host - he was considerate and friendly and could not have been more welcoming or generous. The room was large, warm and clean and all facilities were available. I was in New York for 3 nights but would have been very happy to stay with Charles for much longer.

I'm very happy to recommend Charles, and indeed the Airbnb experience, to anyone considering a trip to New York/Brooklyn.

  • I assume that as everyone else, I had a FANTASTIC time in Charles place!
Just for mention would say 3 reasons:
1- The apartment and rooms are huge, nice, clean, quiet, very well decorated & equipped, in a secured residence, close to express & local subways, etc........Bathroom super clean, fresh towels and extraordinary shower. Was DELICIOUS to sleep in that bed. Huge TV & working WiFi.......
2- Charles is an amazing host, as his girlfriend Claire and roommate Alberto,..above any short description that I would be able to write....NICE COFFEE-DELICIOUS FRUIT JUICE!
3- George, Pablo and.....can't remember her name :(.........remarkable feline company. I loved!
In brief, I highly recommend staying here and personally hope I can visit him & his troup ( cats, fish, turtles, bla bla bla) again soon!!!!!
BTW, friendly, nice & helpful neighbors next door.

  • Great energetic host! Charles is a honest and relaxed host and is always available to help you. The available space, bed and television are huge, a great place to stay for a short or longer visit!

    February 2014
  • I have nothing but praises about my stay here. Charles was the most accommodating and thoughtful host. The place is located in walking distance from the subway line, and has plenty of stores/restaurants in between. The room was as promised, although even bigger than I had expected. The bed is top notch...room is well heated and has a massive TV. Very well organized and clean. Charles anticipated every need and made himself available incase of any other need. I foolishly turned the key the wrong way when returning at 3:30a one night and had to wake him up to open for me and he did so without any fuss or hesitation. Charles is the gold standard of airbnb guests. Highly recommend!

  • Charles is a thoughtful and caring host. His place is clean and comfortable and very conveniently located. He helped us navigate the subways and introduced us to cold brewed coffee! His cats were entertaining and the aquariums fascinating. A friendly place to stay.

About
I grew up traveling around the world, was raised primarily in London, but have been in NYC since I was 18. I am a nature enthusiast and birdwatcher. I love cooking, cleaning, running, hiking, and spending quality time with friends and family. 5 things I can't live without: - My wonderful and precocious son (who lives with his mother) - My Norwegian Forest cat, George (shown in photos on bed) - I read the news religiously every day, and enjoy discussion on politics and current events. - Black coffee - My daily run. ...or two... or three
