The neighborhood is full of fun and exciting things to do. I will recommend many things to make your stay enjoyable and edifying.
Staying at Anita's place was simple, she's communicative and seems like a very nice person, we spoke on the phone but never had time to meet. I stayed in my room for two nights. The room was clean and it had everything I needed, newly made bed, WiFi, soap and towel. I gladly recommend Anita and her place to anyone (unless you are disabled, it's on the 3rd floor) whose looking for a quiet, cozy room.
Anita was a friendly host and organised everything for me nicely! we had good chats about things and made me feel right at home. The house is nice and the renovations are coming along nicely! thanks again! would recommend to anyone!
A good spot to stay if you're on a budget and need to be in Phili. Cats are very friendly, as is Anita. The room locks, which is nice; it does get very warm (it was winter when I stayed and the heat wasn't able to be controlled from the room). Ample on-street parking.
I do not have a review for Anita; I did not end up staying, I was in a bad accident, car was total and I ended up in the E.R. I communicated with Anita the whole time and while trying to figure out what to do.where to stay and what to do. I asked Anita about a refund and I am being refered to customer service. Really nice
Anita was very warm and welcoming! The room is very private and you should have no issue navigating to and from her lovely location. STRONG WIFI! &There's a great park directly across the street. I will be back! Thanks Anita!
I stayed with Anita for about a week. Anita was very easy to communicate with, even before I got there. When I arrived, she gave me a quick tour of the place. It's a large, old house, which she is in the process of renovating. Like any old house, it has it's share of creaky floor boards and the like, and with the renovations underway, don't be surprised to see a few unfinished odds and ends. I suppose if your planning to stay in for most of your stay, it might not be the most comfortable place in the world, but it was more than satisfactory for me. I had a small room on the third floor. Each room has a lock on the door, so you can rest assured that your belongings will be safe. My room was furnished simply, but adequately. I had a twin bed with clean sheets, a pillow and a comforter, a small desk, a closet, and a bedside bookshelf/table. There was also a space heater. The bathroom is on the second floor, and although it may be shared by many house occupants, there never seemed to be competition for using it. There is a kitchen on the third floor, which Anita is happy to let you use, and a fridge that she will provide you some space in. There are a few cats that live in the house, and they are very friendly and sweet. As far as the neighborhood in concerned, I felt perfectly safe walking around during the day, but (like most city areas) I wouldn't want to be walking by myself at night. The neighborhood was fairly quiet. There isn't much directly around the house (other than the park), but a short walk or bus ride will get you to more lively parts of town. Overall I would say that if you're looking for simple accommodations for a great price, than this is the place for you.
Anita was very welcoming and answered all my questions quickly. The room was great, simple, and quiet. Twin size bed and single pillow with clean sheets and a top sheet and blanket. There was also a desk and bureau. It was quite comfortable. I didn't get to spend alot of time in the house, but everyone I ran into was friendly and super respectful.
Transportation to Upenn (where i was going every day) was really easy.

I am originally from New Jersey, and I am an artist, so I enjoy looking at art and creating it. I also love reading, writing, thrift shops, antiques, dancing, and music. That is just to name a few.
My father was a neurologist, originally from Italy, so I grew up with an appreciation of different cultures, as well as, a passion for Art and Science. My mother was an American artist, which made for an interesting life.
