About This Listing
Very cosy and sunny apartment close to the city center.
The apartment is located in a pre-war 1929 building. It has a beautifully renovated facade, a very green and well-kept yard and an interesting staircase. The apartment has 86 m2 which includes three rooms with kitchen and bathroom.
The apartment is very spacious, with high ceilings and lots of sun. It is located on the 4th floor, but with no elevator, however the views and the light compensate everything !
The apartment is double-sided and is very quiet. The windows on one side overlook the yard and on the other side a small Zapolskiej street with the panorama of the Old Ochota, one of the most charming parts of Warsaw.
There are two balconies - one smaller in the guest room and the second larger, which opens onto the yard. On the larger balcony you can enjoy breakfast at the table in spring and summer, drinking morning coffee or just relax after sightseeing or work.
When it comes to arranging the apartment I tried to keep what is most beautiful in the old tenement houses and to attach to it the armature of contemporary design.
At your disposal is a bedroom of 13 m2, which has a double bed 160 x 200 cm, desk and wardrobe.
The room opens into a balcony where you can admire the panoramic view of Warsaw.
The kitchen and the bathroom we are going to share.
Interaction with Guests
When there is the time and desire of both parties, I like to spend time with my guests. I like to organize some hanging out in town.
Old Ochota is a district, which has a very convenient location. It is located very close to the city center and in the same time has a lot of green areas. Sue Ryder Park is just 2 min walk from the house and Pole Mokotowskie Park 10 min.
There is a direct and rapid transport almost to the house itself from the airport and from the main train station.
Right from the house there is fast and direct transportation to the center of Warsaw and its main tourist attractions: such as the Old Town, Nowy Świat and Krakowskie Przedmieście streets, the Opera House, Palace of Culture and Science and many others.
Other Things to Note
If any of the guests is interested, they can spice up their stay by learning to prepare several traditional Polish dishes or simply order the meal preparation during the whole stay or part of it. Janusz is the expert in it !
Welcome to my place !
This is my first AirBnb experience, and it's incredibly fantastic! Anna is such a kind, generous, enthusiastic host; she invited me to her friend's gathering and her family's East feast. And she also provided me personal space when I needed to work on my ppt for conference (and brought me cakes!). Besides, she responded very fast whenever I needed her reply. I doubt if I could meet such a nice host like her. And she has keen interest in interior design and has decorated the flat very comfy and stylish. I even didn't want to go out during my time at Warsaw ... staying at the apartment is indeed a relaxing vacation itself. I will definitely stay at her flat again if I have another chance to go to Warsaw, and I will definitely recommend my friends to come to visit. Thank you, Anna. I have extremely wonderful time!
Appartamento a 20 minuti a piedi dalla stazione. Pulito, ordinato e con un arredamento impeccabile. Loro molto cordiali, gentili e disponibili. Altrettanto riservati e rispettosi. Consigliato.
Anna is lovely, very helpful and showed me how to find basic services such as supermarket, bank, etc. The room is spacious, good furniture. The bathroom is very clean and practical. Nice and calm residential area of Warsaw but not too far from the main touristic places (I think less than 30min from the Palace of Culture and Science, Museum of Ethnography...). To sum up: definitely worth it :)
This are the places that make me keep on using airbnb for my travels. The room is very clean and the house is very nicely decorated. Janusz, Anna's roomate, is a very kind person. You always feel at home. I would recommend this to anyone. Transportation is easy, the neighborhood is nice and the room has a nice view of the centrum.
what can I say... I really enjoy to stay in the apartment of Anna. Its so well think all the details in the house. The room have an absolutely view to the center of the city and you just ear the birds from there. I didn't met Anna but Jannus her flatmate is really helpful and make you feel in home. Very attentive and in the short time that we have we talk a bit. I din t taste his food but for shure he is a great cook. When I arrive the apartment just smell at oranges. :) If you want to stay in Warsaw don t think twice. Its really something!
How should I say...it was extra ! Ania has a lovely apartment, the room is wonderfully cozy and beautiful and the view outside is really inspiring. We had lovely discussions about Warswa, history, food. Ania has good ideas about places to see and eat, and we really enjoyed those breakfasts in little known street. All of this was a very important component of our successful stay in the city.
About the Host, Anna
For more than 15 years I was working as a photo producer. For the last three years I traveled a lot to Buenos Aires and Madrid. I have worked at photography exhibitions, a theater performance and a film festival. At the moment I am preparing a new project related to art, architecture and photography.
I have always been interested in photography, film, dance and interior design.
I love the classics, but also appreciate the modernity in all disciplines mentioned above. I love traveling and exploring new places and new things.
Dance, however, remains my greatest passion.
When I began to share my time between Warsaw and Madrid I decided to rent one room on permanent basis, and while absent from Poland I used to rent in addition my own room. After some time, the people who used to rent the rooms started to return willingly. Since both I and my flatmate often travel, practically, there is mostly only one of us at a time staying in the apartment.
About my flatmate:
Janusz runs culinary workshops and due to many years of living abroad (Portugal and France), he knows perfectly well the European cuisine. Apart from culinary workshops he runs cooking demonstrations of both the international and Polish cuisine. He writes books as well as articles about Portugal, is invited to the radio shows as an expert in the Portuguese kitchen. His hobbyhorse are Portuguese wines and boutique Polish spirits.
Janusz speaks Polish, Portuguese, German and English.
I speak Polish, English and Spanish.
Therefore I cordially invite you to visit Warsaw and my apartment !
