The space

This is probably the best deal you can get in Manuel Antonio.

We have a gorgeous and quiet 3 bedroom house, 3 ½ bathrooms, pool, jacuzzi, fully equipped kitchen, A/C, balconies, terraces and gardens, wifi all over the house and computer, Cable TV. Decorated with love by its owner.

The house can fit 9 people. It features a double bed in the main room, a double bed and single bed in the second room and two bunk beds in the third room.

This house boasts a great location with excellent views. One kilometer (0,6 Miles) from the main road the house is surrounded by exotic nature and wonderful views! Take a short drive to world famous Manuel Antonio National Park or stay at home and catch a tan by the swimming pool. The monkeys might come to visit you any way. You can enjoy nature at its best just from our balcony.

The location of this house is probably the feature that most people love about it. Because it is really close to the beach (five minutes drive, 12 minutes run, 20 minutes walk) but still is quiet and since it is off the main street it is very peaceful! Most people don’t even feel like leaving the place. Check out the views from the windows and from the pool.

For rent per weekly or monthly during the low season from April to November $875 a week or $1050 USD from December to March 30. Minimum stay 2 nights

Not at all. We have a caretaker that will open the gate for you and will give you keys, towels and anything else you might need, but then he will disappear for the rest of the week. He will come out only to clean the pool.

Dear Guest

We want to give you a warm welcome to Sunrise Villa

We have wanted to share it hoping that others can enjoy it as much as we have.

With the purpose of conserving it in its best, we have raised some recommendations for our guests. We thank you for taking the time to read them and to help us putting them in practice.

1.The check in to the Villa is at 2:00 o’clock in the afternoon, while the check out is at 12:00 noon. If you consider that you are going to need more time please do not hesitate to ask the caretaker or me if this is possible.
2.When you are returning from the beach, please take a shower in the outdoor shower in order to keep the pipes and the pool’s filters free from sand and in good condition.
3.Always take a shower before using the pool, and every time after you sunbathe with any kind of lotion.
4.Use coasters in the kitchen and dining furniture to avoid damage on the surfaces by liquids or heat.
5.If you cook and use the pots please use the wooden isolators to protect the surfaces.
(website hidden) not use glass kitchenware near the pool. There is a set of plastic dishes for your enjoyment.
(website hidden) the afternoon please close the kitchen shades to avoid the sun to damage the wooden furniture, besides it will allow you to enjoy a much cooler temperature in this area.
8.When using the computer there is no need to create any kind of configuration, it is predetermined to be able to access internet 24 hours. Do not download any insecure or infected files that may risk the system.
9.The books and the different collections belong to the owner; therefore they are not to take or exchange. However you may read them and leave them in their place.
10.The water dispenser has to have water at all time; if there is no water please unplug it from the electrical outlet.
11.The town lacks water supply; therefore we thank you if you do not waste it.
12.Please turn off the lights, fans, and any other appliance that you are not using to avoid electricity waste.

We appreciate your collaboration and we are at your disposition in the case of any comments, questions or suggestions.

Kindly

Alejandra Monge.

This is our 10th trip or so to Manuel Antonio, we know the area and hotels well, and know what to expect when we come to Costa Rica/Quepos. This trip we had 4 adults, and one 4 year old. To begin with, the price for this house is pretty good..but overall you could get a bungalow at Tulemar or a variety of other places for about the same. There is space in this house for more people, but 9 would be a stretch as listed. The master bedroom is the nicest and cleanest. The bunk bed room is ok if you have a bunch of kids, and the third room, myself/wife and 4 year old stayed has a really small Queen and twin. Both with older sheets that didn't fit and slipped off to the bare mattress, hard mattresses and basic blankets that we found in the bunk bed room. When we checked in no A/C was turned on in the house and is was muggy and smelt like old bleach downstairs. As a positive the house has a great plot at the end of a very bumpy road, massive locked gate, and outstanding views of the jungle. Unlike others I would say you definitely want a car here. The pool was kept nice and maintained well. The upstairs looks like it has been updated, the downstairs, not so much. Generally speaking it could use maintenance, there were water leaks in the ceiling upstairs during rain in the computer room, and every door in the house seemed to have Massive gaps under them to outside. This leads to my main complaint. The bugs were horrible, and it was a constant task to keep up with them. Ants, I don't care about, that's Costa Rica you learn to live with them...But I was finding ants all over our beds downstairs, trails down the walls and floors, kitchen cabinets and every bathroom. More than there should be most of the time. Besides this, there were moths and beatles. My MAIN issue, was that I killed 3 Scorpions in the house during our 5 day stay. In 10 trips I have never seen a scorpion in Costa Rica, this week I saw 3 in a week. I have a four year old, so this was a major concern of mine.I dealt with it myself instead of telling the gardener so not to alert the others on the trip. With basic maintenance and some money spent to update the bedrooms and seal the house a little better this could be a great place. Every night I spent dealing with bugs, and barely got any sleep. Also, there's a night vision camera mounted inside the hallway right outside the bedrooms facing down the hall, seemed kind of intrusive for renters. Eladio the gardener was helpful and very nice, and we managed to communicate. House and view are nice, but know what to expect as far as bugs/comfort vs price

The location was perfect for my family, secluded but about 5-10 minutes from great restaurants. We loved getting to see the squirrel monkeys and toucans up close from the house! Would definitely stay again!

The view from this home will absolutely WOW you. House has a "bring the outside in" feeling which I loved and the caretaker is very welcoming and helpful. You'll love your stay here.

This a lovely home off the beaten path. Need to rent a car unless you enjoy long walks. Clean and we'll taken care of. The gentleman who cares for the home is helpful and kind, speaks no English but is very patient. The pool is a perfect size and we were able to see a sloth, monkeys, toucan, geckos and iguanas. Spacious home and more than enough room for a large family vacation. We will be returning within the next couple of years.

We had a wonderful stay at Villa Amanecer . This property is secluded but close to everything. Very quiet area and felt very safe! The house has everything you need but its a bit outdated. Eladio is wonderful and made our stay even better. He kept the pool extremely clean and was always there to answer any questions . It was nice having him there to watch the property. The house has the most beautiful views we watch amazing sunrise every morning. You also get to see some monkeys and we were lucky to see a sloth as well. There's lots of space in the home for a big family which was great! Will defenitely rent out this property in future travels to Costa Rica.

I am the mother of two children, I work for a non profit organization and live part time in Costa Rica and part time in Denver. I am very outgoing, love the outdoors and enjoy music, reading and writing when I actually have the time to do it. I have a lot of experience in hotel industry which makes me a very accommodating host.
I try to tell myself always that "Life is too short to suffer for small stuff", my husband taught me that!
