What a really great location and incredibly unique way to experience Barcelona. The bed was comfortable and the room was a great value.
Pepa provided us an accommodation which was very homely/ warm and the interiors were very unique.
There is a funny cat in the house which is very playful. Pepa provided things that were exactly mentioned in the service offered.
Very close to everything you can ask for ;)
We stayed with Pepa for 3 nights. It was a wonderful experience. The room is very comfortable, and Pepa is a very kind and friendly host. We recommend her place to other travellers and we will definitely come back.
This was an interesting experience, one I probably would have likeed 40 years ago. Pepa was very nice, but didn't speak any English. My Spanish is not as good as I like so we did have some difficulty communicating. The house was very old, and the shared bathroom was tiny and shared with 4 young men and myself. My room was dark, but adequately clean, although the pillows on the bed had seen younger days. The best part was the great location in Gothic Barcelona. I would not stay there again.
Pepa is a very nice host, we felt very welcomed in this nice place from which you can reach everything important very well.
We had a really nice time there!
We were warmly welcome and we felt like home. We got self made croquetas to try. From this location it is easy to discover the historic parts of Barcelona. Thank you for your hospitality! Gerhard
Beautiful location and beautiful house. Pepa anwsered all our questions immediately and was very nice to us. House can get a little bit cold in the winter, but Pepa brought us extra blankets. Only thing is, the neighbourhood is a little bit dangerous at night. We were with the 3 of us, female students, and it was too risky to walk at night alone outside. But this could also be different in the summer! When there are more people outside at night :)
Anyway, it was a lovely experience, we love Barcelona! And Thank you Pepa for having us in your beautifull house!
This was a fantastic stay in the Barri Gotic area of Barcelona, which is definitely the place to be for convenience to the metro, La Rambla, the Market Boqueria, and a lot of delicious food. Pepa was a great host though we didn't see too much of her because she has a pottery shop downstairs at which she works. The window of the room actually overlooks the pottery shop and there's two walls separating you and the street which is great for blocking street noise, but doesn't let the sun in in the morning so we tended to wake up "late" around 11 AM. I can't say enough about the location and the room was very clean and neat. The shower is a bit small, but otherwise the bathroom was what it is, a bathroom. Would definitely recommend staying here.
We had a fantastic stay with Pepa during our stay in Barcelona. The room is basic but has a good bed and is comfortable and clean. The shared bathroom is small but clean as well. Pepa is a fantastic host who's always available in case you need something. She also prepared a fantastic Spanish breakfast for us every morning.
The location could not be better, being in the heart of the Barri Gotic. It's an ideal location whether you want to go sightseeing, shopping or wining&dining. It's also conveniently located near public transport.
We would definitely stay with Pepa again next time!
Pepa was a great, accommodating host. She was fine with me arriving late and understanding about me going back out once the keys had been given. In the morning she showed me around the apartment and porcelain store she runs and twice provided extensive directions to where I needed to go. Helpful without being intrusive, the room was comfortable and in a good location.
