Brooks Hacienda is located on the doorstep of Manuel Antonio National Park, one of Costa Rica's most prized national parks and the only park that has beach access. It is common to be visited by 3 types of monkeys daily. That is your view. You can listen to the waves pounding the beach. The ocean is about a 10 minute drive to one of the most pristine beaches in the world.
There are many covered decks overlook the swimming pool which is a main feature of this property. From this area one can enjoy the reflection in the skies of the beautiful Costa Rican sunsets and view wildlife in the trees of the tropical rain forest.
The top part of the house is your space.(the owners live below in a private suite from Nov to April) The home was built in Nov 2008, so everything is still like new. The 2 bedrooms are a very good size and each one has its own private full bath. Each bedroom has a queen bed and one bedroom has a single bed by the window... which is full size single bed with 6 ' high density foam... very comfortable.
The kitchen is state of the art and equipped for you to prepare dinner using the local fresh produce and meats. You can enjoy your meal in the elegant dining area inside or on the deck outside.
Brooks Hacienda was gorgeous, we loved our stay there. It was equipped with everything we needed, from towels to kitchen utensils. There are grocery stores nearby, we cooked breakfast every morning and ate outside on the patio which has a lovely view.
Our host was very accommodating. She helped us with recommendations and booking tours.
As with most of Manuel Antonio, the house is on the side of a hill, and the roads are very steep and not in the best condition. This makes it a bit difficult to get to if you are driving, which we were. It's manageable but it helps to have a spare tire.
Overall, our stay was amazing, and we only wished we were staying longer.
We stayed for a couple of days in the Quepos region at Brooks Hacienda and we loved it. It's perfect if you travel in a group of 4-5 people and even better if you want to cook your own food (they have a fully equipped kitchen), which we did.
The place is right in the middle between Quepos and the Manuel Antonio reserve; probably about 10 minutes to go to one or the other. Yet it feels isolated and really gets you some privacy away from the touristy area. They also have a washing machine and a drier at the guests’ disposal.
The property is truly magnificent, we even saw monkeys from the pool.
Only downside: It was a bit complicated to get hot water to shower, but that wasn't a big deal for us.
Brooks Hacienda is a perfect place to stay! The home is located in the center Manuel Antonio but in a very private setting within the jungle. Everyday we saw monkeys and beautiful birds right outside our door. The house is beautiful and decorated very nicely; no detail is missed. The pool is gorgeous and always clean.
I would recommend staying here, you would not be disappointed.
