As far as sights to see in Philadelphia in relation to my home?
There are plenty of famous landmarks within reasonable walking distance and subway access is less than a block away which will take you anywhere else in the city you would like to go. So with all that said, here is a list with some information for you about Philadelphia relating to my location:
South Street, the Philadelphia Sporting Complexes (3 new great stadiums, home to the Phillies, Eagles, Sixers, and Flyers), Pat's and Geno's Steaks, and Penn's Landing are all close to my house. The Philadelphia Art Museum, Kimmel Center (Home to the Philadelphia Orchestra, various other performing arts), and City Hall, Old City, National Constitution Center, Ben Franklin's Home, Franklin Institute, and the night life of Center City and Old City are all within a 5-15 minute, $5-$15 cab ride.
If my schedule permits it, I would be honored to showcase Philadelphia. My work schedule is fairly flexible and I work from home close to 50% of the time currently.
Philadelphia is the birthplace of Liberty in the United States and is very rich in history. It also is home to some of the most cutting-edge universities in the United States and, as such, has a very interesting and creative population and culture. No matter what you are into, you can find your niche in this city.
So please, do not hesitate to inquire about staying at my home and I look forward to hearing from you soon!

We called Brian's place "home" for the 4 days & nights during the cold, snowy start of the year when we were in town for a conference. Cozy, peaceful, and welcoming, me and my husband had the best stay we could ask for. What we really appreciated was the ready info on the subway routes and other details one could need to get around and enjoy the city. Brian is ever so helpful with anything you ask, he even tolerated our silly questions on football and explained the rules of the game so patiently! :) I would recommend anyone looking for a good stay in Philly to look up Brian's place first.
Thanks much for your warm hospitality, Brian.
Living with Brian for three months has been the best experience I could expect. I won a scholarship for thesis abroad and I needed a room in Philly for three months. At first I was scared because I didn't know the language and it was the first time for me to go abroad, but living with Brian has definitely helped me to be more confident in speaking English. Brian is very intelligent and we spent beautiful moments together, going around Philly, talking about various topics, watching films and sports together, and very often he was so thoughtful to prepare dinner or breakfast for me. I also knew his family which was really kind to invite me to spend Thanksgiving Day at lunch from them. They are great people and I believe that I was really lucky for the time spent in their company. The neighborhood is fantastic, safe, with friendly and very polite neighbors, and also very well connected, with lots of places where having a drink out in the evening or just doing grocery shopping. I couldn't have been better. If you go to Philly for short or long periods, you should definitely spend your stay from Brian. He made me feel really at home, and at the end of this experience it was difficult leaving Philly and Be the Block Captain because it was like leaving my own family. I really found a great new friend! Thanks Brian!!
Brian was a great host. He had the room ready a little earlier than standard check in and woke to let us when we couldn't get the key to work for some reason (more likely us than him). He was preparing breakfast when we left and though we couldn't stay and chat too much, he was really fun to talk with. Hope we can stay again!
The reservation was canceled the day before arrival. This is an automated posting.
Brian is a nice host, really a friend.
We talked about our everything in the outdoor patio.
The location is at walking distance from the center of the city and it's in a safe and quite area.
Brian was a very nice and thoughtful host. He provided some great recommendations for restaurants in the area, and was readily available to resolve any small issue that came up. His home is in a great South Philly location, with subway access a block away. Free parking in his neighborhood is a plus! Do not hesitate to stay at Brian's rental for your trip to Philly.
Brian was a great host. Very friendly and made us feel welcome. Perfect location to catch a show at the Wells Fargo center.
This was my 1st Airbnb experience and it will now be my last. Brian was an excellent host and eager to please. His "casa was our casa" from the freedom to come and go as we pleased to fresh coffee made in the morning and sports talk in the evening. Brian is continually updating his place for guests comfort and I cannot wait to see all the additions in the future. His home is centrally located, making it easy to navigate Philly (though I would not recommend driving anything over a compact car, streets are narrow). Listen to his advise on local eateries, he will not steer you wrong. Thanks for a great time.
Great Host.......no issues!!!
Brian is a busy guy. I had a chance to talk with him and found that he is easy going, intelligent, and willing to assist you during your stay. I would stay there again :-)
My stay with Brian was great. He is a great host, easy going, sincere and great to talk to. Thanks for the breakfast and ride to the station as well! The place is in a more quiet street, which is nice. The room had a nice big bed. I hope to stay in touch, Cheers
