The apartment was so close to the Acropolis, situated immediately behind the Acropolis Museum and a very short walk from the entrance to the major sites, the metro (stop: Acropolis) and everything. The studio was neat and clean, with cool ac in the August heat and good wifi. Leon and Ektoras were fine hosts, easy to communicate with and nice. We purchased local sim cards from Wind and it made it even easier to be in touch. Would recommend/visit again! Thank you L & E!
Great location for a small but well furnished flat! It's wonderful for a little holiday in Athens! Ektoras was kind and avaible! Very good with a little price!
Everything was exactly as described - the apartment is right across the street from the Acropolis museum. Our host was their waiting for us, internet and AC worked fine. An inexpensive room with a great location is exactly what we were looking for.
Accueil sympa. Appartement basic mais très bien placé, si vous voulez visiter l'Acropole.
Leon was an amazing host in every way - I was delayed getting to Athens and he was able to make alternative plans to accommodate this. The flat is in a superb area of of the city and is within walking distance of practically everything. Despite its central location, there was plenty of peace and quiet. I never wanted for anything and had the perfect holiday in Athens. Thank you Leon!
We stayed at in Athens for three nights. There was a minor issue with our arrival time: we were coming from a wedding from a different town, and had a hard time giving Ektoras a firm arrival time. We eventually learned we would arrive around 9, but Ektoras had to leave by 8:30....which caused some stress for us, but luckily he was kind enough to figure out another plan, we got in just fine.
The next morning Ektoras (and Leon, his cousin) messaged us to check in.
The location is perfect. It's a two minute walk to Acropolis and many restaurants, shops, etc.
The room is fairly basic: a futon bed, very small bathroom and kitchen. There was no shower curtain which got the bathroom floor wet every time we showered (somewhat common in Greece). The room definitely wasn't spotless, but it wasn't unbearably dirty either.
There was a fridge which conveniently provided drinks (at a small cost, some of which is donated to charity).
The AC provided a great refuge from the heat.
There was a significant jump in price going from one guest to two.
Overall, the overwhelmingly convenient location trumps the average room. There is so much to see and do in Athens that you're hardly in the room anyways.
Thank you, Ektoras and Leon! :)
Both the place was and the host were great. In a great location to everything and on the edge of Plaka. I also liked there was a bakery and supermarket with 'local pricing' if you head from the station the other way from Plaka about 500m. The small market is on the left as you head down the station road away from Plaka past a small church, and the bakery is one street across from the market again on the corner of small mall about 50 metres on. I would stay again.
