  • Kathy is so sweet, and the loft is gorgeous! It looks exactly like the photos. Very spacious by NYC standards. She had plenty of clean linens and towels, and it was also nice having a washer and dryer in the unit. Lots of restaurants and shopping nearby, and the area is vibrant overall. We had a great time, and would definitely love to stay there again. Oh, and her pottery pieces are very cool and beautiful. Worth admiring :)

  • Very comfortable 1 bedroom apt in a great location. You are just a short walk from Union Sq and the subway and only a slightly longer walk to the Highline Trail which is great for jogging or just walking and enjoying the city views. Living room has a sofa-bed that worked well for us. Kathy was very accommodating. The windows have no views and let in only indirect light - you can barely see the sky from the windows but this is NYC with tall buildings everywhere.

  • Kathy's place is awesome, and so is Kathy! It's clean, super spacious, well designed, and really makes you feel at home. The location was the best part, being so close to union square and the subway, and smack in between midtown and downtown.

I was there for a week and her place made me want to move to NYC. I plan on staying there every time I come back to NY.

  • We really enjoyed staying in Kathy's place - it is a beautiful and quit apartment situated in a very central location, and decorated with amazing ceramic works. It was a perfect choice for discovering NY and I'm very happy with this experience being a part of our NY trip!

  • This was my first airbnb experience and it was wonderful! The apartment itself is lovely and its in an exceptional neighborhood and it was exactly what I was hoping for! Thank you!

  • Great apartment. Very comfortable and with plenty of space, just as shown in the photos. Kathy is a great host. She gave us recommendations of places we could go in the area and she is very reliable. The apartment has a great location, one block away from the subway, and surrounded by places to eat, supermarkets and stores like GAP, H&M, Banana Republic, Zara, Forever 21, Best buy, etc. It is a great apartment to rent for your stay in NYC

  • Kathy was a lovely host and her place was very nice. It was clean and upon arrival, just what was expected. She was very considerate on getting me the keys and the house instructions. It seemed very spacious as New York City places go and the location was so convenient. Easy to catch a cab or the subway in moments. A very bustling area with many great shops and restaurants steps away. Even whole foods and four days of fresh market is within a few steps. When I return to the city this would be the first place I would like to stay. The one area that was not perfect was the noise from the stairwell is easily heard from the bedroom. Most nights it was not a problem, but on the Saturday before Halloween, it was a bit noisy.

  • My family absolutely loved their stay at Kathy’s loft! The apartment was very clean and provided them with the “New York” living experience they were looking for. The location can’t be beat. Union Square is near many grocery stores, restaurants, bars, and retail shops. The subway (around the corner) is a hub that makes most anywhere in the city easily accessible. Kathy was quick to respond throughout the reservation process and she was very friendly when I met her to pick up the keys. She is also a very talented artist! We highly recommend Kathy’s apartment to anyone visiting NYC and my family looks forward to hopefully staying here again on their next visit.

  • Kathy was a great host! She welcomed us to her home warmly, which is exactly how the photos present it, and she was very kind to show us around and give us all the necessary information for our stay in NYC.

  • I rented Kathy's apartment for 3 months in the summer of 2012. It was my first experience with airbnb. Kathy was an ideal host. She was very responsive and persistent in addressing a small glitch with the wi-fi early on, and also helpful with advice about neighborhood services from time to time.

The apartment is just as nice as it appears in the photos. The kitchen is very well equipped. Kathy's art collection is lovely to live with. The location is perfect for visiting New York, with Union Sq transportation nearby. I recommend Kathy's apartment without reservation.
