I felt welcomed and felt at home with Ketut and his family. They have a lovely clean warung, good food and I loved my room with ocean view verandah. They were all very helpful and friendly and I would recommend staying there however, please note , you do not access the beach from the accom but walk up the road and down through another resort. pics make it look like it is on the water. thanks Ketut and Co!
I would like to say some nice things about this place as we spent a week here in Amed, overall I can't say a bad thing about the people here the hosts were very smiley and friendly and the girls were really nice, anything we needed they would do there best.
Unfortunately on the second night we found a rat in our bathroom and had to let it into the bedroom to let it out of the door. In the morning we told Ketut and showed him the droppings in the bathroom and in the bedroom and asked to have the room cleaned again, sadly he tried telling my boyfriend that it was Gekko droppings and that it was normal. I understand why he would say this but still I would have rather had an honest acknowledgment of the fact they had rats in the roof. They did clean the room again and when we found droppings a few days later they did put down rat poison but listening to rats dropping dead in the night was not my best experience.
I would say however that apart from that, the location and the people were really nice. The snorkelling is amazing here and there are some really lovely restaurants in the area.
To be honest, this is one of the best places we have ever been. It is family business so every one try to bring heaven a little closer to you. :).
The place in real, look even better than on photos. In Ketut description he owns private rooms. But that is no true! He owns 4 separate bungalows with astonishing view on sea. Additionally Ketut family buisnes is extremly complex. They can borrow you a motor bike. Snorkeling equipment, and even organise sailing. The room was clean and fresh. And there are not so many turists.Of course the price it was great. We love this place.
Really enjoyed my stay, very clean, hot water, lovely view. Walking distance to the beach although better ones are a short drive away. Ketut, his family and staff were all very helpful. Would definitely recommend.
The homestay is located at a nice place, a bit away from Amed. But all restaurants are very well accessible by scooter. Or there will always be someone offering you a ride. Amed was a suprising nice place. The food at the warung is nice. There is a curry place next door: titi sedana with very very great curries! The room was very clean, and well designed. Airco works good. And you will have a great view on the ocean.
