The Space

My warm and sunny, relaxed-vibed apt is in the heart of SoHo, right under the ‘red’ dot on the map of Hong Kong! My apt oozes chic, urban, hip and all is contained in my spacious studio apartment on lower Elgin st, and in Hong Kong's most sought after location. You will enjoy a long expanse of sunny windows to view the street life below.

I don't live there, so it's all yours, 100% with lots of space and privacy for relaxing after absorbing Hong Kong's lifestyle. I'm not far away though if you need advice on where to eat, shop, browse, climb, swim, sail, surf, or party.

Step downstairs to absorb the undeniably and very friendly vibe below on the cobblestoned street of lower Elgin. SoHo is also the oldest neighbourhood in Hong Kong. What awaits you downstairs is an array of delicious restaurants, galleries, cafes, bars, eclectic boutiques, wet markets, all standing the test of time in this pulsating metropolis we call home. Don’t forget your camera!

You will easily see why SoHo is undeniably Hong Kong’s most charming, colourful, cosmopolitan and pulsating neighborhoods.
My apt is incredibly, perfectly situated to everything you will need for your stay here! Just a few minutes walk down to Central MTR and Sheung Wan MTR and is just one minutes walk to the worlds longest escalator. It is also a 4minute walk to central, the IFC, the HK Airport Express and all ferry piers which depart to the outlying islands. It is just a 10minute walk to the Macau Ferry Terminal and the Western Market.

My apartment has possibly one of Hong Kong’s most spacious bathrooms with a lovely slate tiled floor, beaming with natural light, as is the main open studio-type area. I have heating and air-con, a dehumidifier, very fast WIFI, a quaint kitchen equipped with cooking utensils, a nice comfortable bed with reading light, iron and ironing board, hair dryer, a hugely comfortable couch, a massive white desk, tons of art-filled walls, black out blinds for weary long-haul travellers, and probably the largest storage/wardrobe space you could ever want to fill.

My apt ideally suits an individual or a couple who want to be close to step into the buzz of Hong Kong! The long, green sofa is a treat to snooze on, or sleep on if you have an extra friend/child with you. I also have a fold out bed if you need.

I hope to meet and greet you soon to my charming abode. Contact me for any Q’s.

  • Louise was a good and helpful host. The area was fantastic - we were able to walk everywhere. The apartment is spacious, comfortable, nicely fitted out and very clean. Don't be put off by the building and stairwell which are quite rundown (but probably typical of the older places in the area). We'd definitely stay there again and will recommend it to friends (who don't mind walking up stairs).

  • Great apartment! Couldn't have asked for a better location as first time travelers to Hong Kong. Louise was incredibly sweet and very easy to communicate with throughout our stay. Would recommend apartment to others!

  • The apartment is in a great location, very near the mid-level escalators, and very accessible to locations in Central and Shueng Wan. Close to good night life, yet quiet, comfortable and of a decent size. Although I did not meet Louise, she gave good instructions and Louise was efficient and communicative. I certainly enjoyed staying here and recommend it.

  • Spacious lovely decorated room with comfortable bed, a French coffee press, a shower with good pressure - those are just some advantages of this lovely apartment in the middle of Soho worth mentioning. And of course Lou, the easy-going host, who let me stay here although she was abroad when I arrived. As she is perfectly organised, the check-in went smoothly, and late check out was possible.
A wonderful place to stay I can warmly recommend.

  • We had an awesome trip to HK and Louise's flat was a huge part of it! Right in the middle of SOHO and am easy trip from Central up the escalators, this was a perfect place to stay and explore from. Although there are lots of great restaurants and bars right outside, the apartment is amazingly quiet and cozy.

Louise was a great host. She responded promptly to all our questions, the apartment was clean, WiFi worked great, and she even had some great guidebooks around. I would highly recommend staying at Louise's if you are visiting HK!

  • We thoroughly enjoyed staying in Louise's beautiful apartment. It is a quiet refuge among the chaos of the city, and we appreciated not only the physical conveniences (air con, nice kitchen and well designed bathroom), but also were very grateful for Louise's tasteful sense of design in all the furnishings and objects in the apartment! It was very clear and easy to communicate with Louise about logistics, and I would highly recommend staying at this charming flat to enjoy a central location for exploring Hong Kong.

  • This is definitely one of the best airbnb places I've stayed in. The studio apartment was extremely spacious for the 2 of us, a rarity in HK. Louise was a great host and although she was out of town, she made sure to provide all the fine details on how to get to the apartment (some very steep uphill slopes so I recommend a taxi if you're carrying heavy luggage, it's super cheap (about HKD30)). Other bonuses were the ample amenities, double sized shower, trendy and popular bars and pubs right at your doorstep, and 5-star cleanliness. The only downside would be the 3 flights of stairs to get to the apartment (with luggage!) but I still think the bonuses make it much more worth it. Would definitely recommend this place and would stay here next time I visit HK!

About
I am an accessories designer, illustrator and painter. I design innovative, unique, and highly sought after handbags and have had my business for 12 years now. It comes with tons of freedom. I also teach swimming, and to those with special needs, and triathletes. I lead a hectic life but wouldn't have it any other way. I lived in London for five years and in Asia; Tokyo, Singapore and Hong Kong, for nearly 20 years now. It's under my skin now, and I'm deeply embedded in Asian culture and lifestyle. I have traveled extensively to over 60 countries globally also. It's a fairly expensive addiction.
