About This Listing
Package Deal for two rooms! Excellent deal for travelers with multiple people to have added privacy! Ask any questions, please! (Listing says just one room, but you will actually get two for the price of one!)
Hosting in my guest house next door to mine. This listing is for two individual rooms, you can also reserve the entire house (check out my other listings for that).
The location is 15 minutes to downtown on a very easy straight shot via US80. If you happen to be out "late at night"....taxi is under $20 to get back home. This house is 12 minutes from "toes in the sand" to Tybee Island as well.
I have beach chairs, towels, coolers if you would like to use those.
Kitchen is fully available for your use, w/ dishes, pots, pans, etc.... Make yourself at home! =)
For the solo traveler to the entire family, we will make your stay comfortable and help you enjoy the city we fell in love with!
The home is located in a very quiet and safe cul-de-sac midway between the historic district and Tybee Island. Walmart, Publix (grocery store) and many local eating establishments are w/in 1 mile of the home.
I would love to host you, send me a message and let me know if I can answer any questions for you!
You will get the two smaller bedrooms in the house. Each has a double (full size) bed, large enough for 2 people each. Also for both rooms there is shared bathroom (only shared by your party's two rooms).
Interaction with Guests
I live next door, so I will likely not be around much, but I am closeby for anything you need or any questions you have.
No smoking inside please!
Please try to pick up after yourselves if using kitchen or common areas, we are not picky but tidy!
Sand must stay outside, we have hoses to wash off your beach adventure :-)
We love our home so please help us take care of it :-)
We rented the two smaller bedrooms in the house for a family of four. Julia was very helpful and attentive during our stay. The place was clean and provided most comforts however we did miss a dining table in the house. The available bar table only allowed seating for two. In the end we nevertheless had a pleasurable time there without surprises as Julia kept us informed of exactly who else was staying in the house. The location was perfect for us, right inbetween downtown Savannah and Tybee beach.
Julia met us at the house, next to her own, when we arrived, rain-soaked, from downtown Savannah. The house was adequately comfortable for our needs. We were 2 couples and shared the house with another couple, which worked out just fine & we had an enjoyable evening of visiting. The house was in a residential area about 10-15 mins from historic downtown Savannah. This was also fine for our party, but if you are wanting to spend less time in transit you may wish to be a bit closer to the downtown area. A good stay.
The reservation was canceled the day before arrival. This is an automated posting.
Julia was easy to work with and responded to our requests in a timely manner. The location is fantastic and we had an easy time visiting local sights. Downtown Savannah is a 6 mile drive and there is ample public parking. The fascinating Bonaventure Cemetery was close by and Tybee Island is less than 15 minutes away. Grocery stores, a pharmacy, banks and restaurants are within 1-2 miles.
We found the house comfortable and the pictures are accurate. The neighborhood was nice and quiet. The beds were very comfortable and we slept great.
We did have a different group of people sharing the house with us, each night of our stay. Julia did a good job of texting me as soon as she knew there would be someone using the master bedroom. We are easy going and like to meet new people but this may not be to everyone's liking. Our sleep/wake cycles did not always mesh well with the other guests.
We would definitely use Julia's house the next time we return to Savannah.
House was clean and nice, more than adequate kitchen supplies for us to make breakfasts before driving to downtown Savannah/beach. There were lots of interesting books there as well as a Netflix account for us to use. Small things that would have improved our visit would be a hair dryer as we did not pack one, more available bath towels, or more mirrors around the house. We also were not informed that there would be another guest staying in another room of the house on the second night we were there, which would have been good to know before an unknown woman came into the house late at night. This was my first time using airbnb, however, and this experience has definitely been a positive one thanks to Julia and her home!
Kelly and her party were definitely informed of other people staying in the house, and I do have the e-mail traffic and Kelly's response to it (and acknowledgement), but she may have missed my message. I make it a point to ensure everyone always knows that there may be other guests (or I) staying in the house if they select the rooms only option. And I always make the entire house available for booking also. Some people prefer the cheaper option (rooms only) and it is unfortunate that they leave a bad review when they knew that there would be other guests. In this case, I wished Kelly had chosen the entire house if she was concerned about this. As I live next door, I am always available with towels, hair dryer or anything else needed. Again all of this could have been resolved if Kelly had chosen to communicate with me a bit better.
Julia's Guest House was a great place at a reasonable price. The place was spacious and clean and perfect for a weekend. Centrally located between Tybee and Savannah, we were close to everything. Julia was welcoming. Nothing was lacking - just as we expected from the description. Thanks Julia!

About the Host, Julia
I'm a fun loving, open minded, engaged mommy of two boys. My hobbies include: action and endurance sports of all sorts to include marathon running, iceskating, kitesurfing, mountain biking, and dancing!
I study and practice Ayurveda everyday and my second biggest love besides my boys is music! On any given day you will find me listening to bands in clubs, pubs, concerts, or opera halls! If it involves music, I am there, and there are always tunes going where I am, on speakers in my car, office, headphones, TV's...!!! I love to explore new music in the city whenever I can.
I also love to host and introduce new visitors to the wonderful city of Savannah, Georgia, USA. Every day and night of the year there is a new event to explore.
As the weather warms, we are just moments away from the beach in Savannah, you won't want to miss it!!!
