This amazing colonial home is located four blocks from the main plaza in the heart of Centro, Casa Adele is close to restaurants, museums, galleries, parks, and shopping. Lovingly restored with life’s modern conveniences, the home retains all its historic charm. From high beamed ceilings and antique pasta tile to a modern swimming pool, LCD TV and wired & wireless internet, old and new blend with style and revelry.
Well suited for both short and long term stays, the home features ample room for lounging both indoors and out. Sleep comfortably with A/C in each of the two well-appointed bedrooms, or take time out to cook with local ingredients gathered from Merida’s main food market - a short two blocks away. The kitchen is well equipped and comes complete with its own special indoor garden and fountain.
Don’t feel like cooking? No problem. We can arrange a private chef to cook up Mexican favorites or International fare for you and your guests, or contact us and we’ll have a gourmet meal delivered direct to your door. Add to that complimentary weekly cleanings for stays over seven days, and you’re ready to unwind, relax and immerse yourself in the history and culture of Merida.
The owner of Casa Adele operates a local gallery in Mérida and keeps her home filled with pieces from her personal collection. Upon entering the home, you’re comfortably surrounded by art, ornaments, sculptures that celebrate traditions and talent from Yucatán, Cuba and beyond.
In the heart of all the action, you're four short blocks from Plaza Grande, the oldest and grandest part of Mérida. Stroll down Calle 59, past old stately homes and you’ll quickly find yourself admiring local crafts, traditional dancing and city life in a series of interconnected pedestrian plazas that meander their way to the main plaza. There, you can marvel at Latin America’s oldest cathedral, take a tour of the governor's palace and much more.
Feeling hungry? Sit down at one of the many outdoor restaurants lining the main plaza for a coconut sorbet, or to sample some local Yucatecan dishes. After lunch, stroll north along Paseo de Montejo, Merida’s Champs Elysees, for some people watching along this tree-lined boulevard and see some of the grandiose mansions the city has to offer.
Casa Adele couldn’t be better located, close to buses, taxis, rental car agencies, and even horse-drawn carriages to get you where you need to go when it's time to explore all the great attractions in Mérida and Yucatán.
Stanley and his team are the Four Seasons of Mérida. Cinthya and Stanley were in communication well before our check-in. They offered to stock the kitchen with food and wine. We wished we were so organized to do so. If you are a wine lover, accept their offer since it is not as available as one might think. Stanley made the experience effortless. In fact, we are in the process of purchasing a property in Miami and were hoping Stanley's team had a branch in southern Florida. Fortunately for guests in Mérida, Stanley's focus will be on you.
This was an amazing home....comfortable, beautiful and filled with incredible art. Located close to El Centro....we walked everywhere. Stan and staff were attentive to our every need and went above and beyond to see to it that we were well taken care of and provided us with a lot of local information which we found extremely helpful. As issues developed, as you would expect with a one month stay, the response from the Remixto staff was always timely. I had the privilege of being the first occupant of the new master suite, and wow, is it ever beautiful with views to die for!
Kudos to Cinthya our concierge, we loved her!
I would return in a heartbeat!
