2 people will comfortably sleep in our guest room. The guest room is located on the basement level, and so is your bathroom, your living room, and the bar. It is very private, as we sleep on the main floor, and our kitchen and dining room and our bathroom is also on the main floor. You will have full use of the mini fridge in our bar area, as well as a mini sink. We, the hosts, reserve the right to use our TV area for about 1.5 hours at night, usually from 8-9:30PM. This is the time we watch kids TV with our boy. You can enjoy our yard at any time during your stay, but please don't plan to have a loud party in the yard after 10PM!
A few words about our neighborhood.
Our area, East Williamsburg, is a safe, fun, evolving young neighborhood. On our block you will find a great cafe serving vegan donuts, a typical deli, and a taco restaurant. Within 2 blocks there are several restaurants, cafes, a bagel store, and a few excellent bars. Grand Street is an easy walk, and there you will find lots of options for eating and drinking. Take the subway 1 stop to Morgan Ave, and you will find a cool edgy neighborhood also with great options to eat, drink, and shop. Take the subway 4 stops to Bedford Ave, and you will find yourself in the center of Brooklyn coolness! Our subway line will also take you to the middle of Manhattan!
You will be given keys to our front door. These are secure keys, and if you happen to lose them, there is a $20 key replacement fee. You access the basement by walking through our dining room. You can come in and out at any time during your stay, but please be considerate and quiet after 10PM so as not to wake up our baby.
*** Important! When you come in and out, especially when you go into our yard, please take great care not to let our cats out!!
Sometimes we're not even home during your stay, but if we're around we try to be as considerate of our guests as possible. If you must cook, please let us know in advance and we can discuss it. Also we prefer non-smokers, but occasional smoking in the yard is fine. If you need directions we would love to help. We are very knowledgeable about our neighborhood and NYC in general! We look forward to hosting you and to make sure you have a wonderful time staying in Brooklyn!!

Our stay at Erin and Yuri's place was great. The house is very conveniently located (very close to the subway station) and the area around it is interesting as well. The house itself is great, you have a lot of privacy in the basement area and one of the cats (Bubble) is very loveable and likes to visit. Erin and Yuri are very helpful friendly people and they have a very cute little boy who even sang "Happy Birthday" for Adam. We really recommend staying with Erin, Yuri and Sasha! Thanks for a great time!
What best describes our stay at Erin's place is that we felt like home. It's so cozy and the family gives you so many good vibes that words can`t describe our experience. Their small boy will make you laugh a lot and this couple couldn't be more kind and always with a smile and willing to help. Our room and private den was fully equipped, had a big clean private bathroom.
Big plus: very good WiFi, mini fridge, all building is renovated and beautiful, great neighborhood, steps away from good food, supplies and subway L (15 min to Manhattan).
Jackpot: 2 awesome cats.
We will return for sure!
The stay at Erin's home was great. Erin and Yury are super friendly and recommend staying with them. The made us feel very comfortable. The place looks exactly like in the pictures. Everything was super clean and tidy !!! We enjoyed a lot of privacy. The mattress was very comfortable!! The bathroom is beautiful and fresh towels were waiting for us. The TV is huge, the wlan works well. Our fear to find a hotel sized- mini fridge was needless. The fridge has a regular small size, you can easily store two cans of milk, lots of veggies and other stuff in it. Not that you would need to though, just beside the subway entrance is a place that sells great falafel sanwich for just 5 $ .We had dinner there about 3-4 times. The Metro is just steps away from their place and you reach Manhattan fast and easily. If you're visiting Erin and Yury's home in winter bring some slippers, it can get a little colder in the bar area / living room. The cat Bubble is cute, he will want to become your friend. We enjoyed our trip and we would definitely stay with them again.
Such a great stay with Erin and family and cats! Such lovely people, and a beautiful flat in a great location. Montrose Ave is super handy for the L train; quiet and safe too. All arrangements really quick and easy, felt really welcomed, also had lots of space to relax after trotting about the city all day too. Really made the trip for me, and hope to visit again (maybe when there is less snow). Thank you!
Erin and Yuri were very accomodating hosts. They welcomed us most friendly into their home. We had the lower floor of the house entirely for ourselves. It was most clean and very comfortable, The apartment is a couple of minutes walking to the L-line which brings you in a couple of minutes to Manhattan. I could definitely recommend a stay at Erin's.
Erin & Yury were kind enough to let us stay with them even though it was a few days before Christmas. (Thank you!) With the subway stop at the corner we had no problem travelling between Williamsburg & Manhattan. The photograph of your space is totally accurate. Even though it's in the basement, during the day it is bright and cheery. Erin and Yury did a fantastic renovation. Thanks again for your hospitality! Susan & Joe
Fantastic lower level apartment with everything we could have asked for. Very clean and welcoming bedroom, bathroom and bar area, we didn't take nearly enough advantage of the large TV and living area as we wanted to! Communication with Erin was quick and easy before we came. Location is just around the corner from the subway which makes a very quick journey into the city. Lovely family, very welcoming. Would definitely stay again, thank you!
I could talk forever about how lovely Erin and Yury's home is. From the moment we arrived cute Sasha was helping us with our bags. The two cats Chickpea and Bubble are ADORABLE and stopped us from missing our pets at home. Now Erin is the most lovely person in the world and we made great friends with her (we miss her already). Do yourself a favour and STAY HERE. So close to the L train (which is easily the best subway) so getting around is a breeze. Heaps of food nearby. Great TV, big bathroom, comfortable bed, super speedy Internet and the cable has 2000 channels... We want to stay again and again!
Erin and Yuri's is definitely one of the best places to stay if you ever plan on visiting NYC. They're incredibly warm, friendly and accommodating and their home is absolutely beautiful. You get a lot of privacy having almost an entire floor to yourself since your room is in the basement. Their home is also incredibly convenient... The L train is just around the corner and it takes you to Manhattan in under 20 minutes. Their neighbourhood is also safe and it's full of amazing restaurants (including quite possibly the best doughnut place in the entire world). We would definitely stay here again!
we stayed at Kotov's house the first week of November and we had a special time there!!! The family was nice, careful and helpful. The house is exactly as you see in the photos, and also perfectly clean and 50 metres or less to the Montrose metro station and in just 10 minutes you're in Union Square. Last but not least you'll have your private room and bathroom in your own floor...so we can say that's a perfect accomodation, contact Erin!!!!
