Private room with attached private bath in my quiet, cozy town home. I am located within walking distance of downtown Denver and 17th Avenue restaurants and bars. I offer you privacy if that is what you desire or I am happy to chat!
I am offering a private bedroom and private attached bath in my lovely 1895 vintage duplex. There is a little deck off the bedroom - a fun place to drink coffee. The home is located in an historic neighborhood within walking distance of downtown Denver - nightlife and restaurants in the Uptown Neighborhood are just blocks away. The Convention Center and other downtown amenities are a short walk. Several bus lines and the light rail service various parts of Denver and are available within 2 blocks. The kitchen is large and updated with high-end appliances and granite countertops. The fireplace and wood floors are original to the home. The layout is typical of townhomes - lots of stairs. I have many books and movies to keep you entertained. I collect folk art. In good weather you will enjoy my private back garden. Please note that my home is cooled with an evaporative cooler - it keeps the home quite comfortable in summer months and provides much-needed humidity in the dry, Colorado climate. I know that you will love the house and the 'hood! New vegan bakery one block up the street! No smoking of any kind inside of the house. You are welcome to partake in the garden.
Sorry.... not pet-friendly after a bad experience.
Interaction with Guests
I am happy to offer you privacy if that is what you are comfortable with. (I will give you a key so that you can come and go as you please). I also love to chat over a glass of wine or tea in the kitchen. The choice is yours!
My house is located in an historic district boasting homes circa the late 1800's. By Denver standards, this is quite unique! I am within walking distance of everything one could desire. Vegan bakery and liquor store one block down the street. Grocery store two blocks over. Great restaurants and bars 3 blocks over on 17th Avenue. Walk to downtown attractions and the Denver Convention Center. Light rail and bus lines within a couple of blocks. Best of all, I have wonderful neighbors who are proud to part of a walkable, diverse, historic residential neighborhood.
Buses and light rail within a couple of blocks of the house. I also like to use Lyft for inexpensive, fast car service - especially convenient for travel to downtown where parking can be tricky.

Lovely room in a cosy and very nicely decorated house. Julie is a very relaxed, hospitable and helpful host. Nice area.
Julie has a lovely house; the guest room and attached private bathroom was clean and comfortable. Julie was very clear in her instructions, from retrieving the key to recommending nearby locales to grab a bite to eat. Plus, she's always just a text away in case you have any questions (although I never found a need to contact her). Lastly, the location is fantastic - more so if you have a car, but I found it no trouble walking to the Denver Zoo!
Julie and her place are great! The location couldn't be better- easy access to all that Denver has to offer from a great and comfortable space and neighborhood. Julie is a wonderful host with great conversation and recommendations if you're looking for them, without ever being intrusive or overbearing
I stayed at Julie's home in Denver for 3 days because of a conference I was attending. She is very down to earth and explained everything to me from the closest best places she recommends to helping me get situated there with a tour of the most important place in my opinion - the kitchen (morning tea fix)!! She was very flexible with the check-in time and the house was very comfortable and overall an easy going experience. A really great individual :)
Julie's house was a great place to stay. Her house is beautifully presented and very comfortable. The room was a really good size and having the attached bathroom was a big bonus.
Julie's house is in a great neighbourhood, close to the centre of Denver, and Julie was very helpful with providing directions.
In the morning I had a good chat with Julie over a coffee and bagel.
I only stayed at Julie's house for one night, but I would have loved to stay for longer.
Julie's place is great. Check-in was incredibly easy, and Julie offered some recommendations on where to walk and explore. Her place is well located as I was able to walk to one of Denver's nicest parks and then loop back to a row of restaurants, bars, and coffee shops. The house itself is really nice, and you are afforded a lot of privacy with a private bath that is attached to the bedroom. I only stayed for one night, but Julie and I found some time to talk before I left. She is very friendly, and I felt totally at ease. Would definitely come back.
