I am offering a private bedroom and private attached bath in my lovely 1895 vintage duplex. It is located in an historic neighborhood within walking distance of downtown Denver - nightlife and restaurants in the Uptown Neighborhood are just blocks away. The Convention Center and other downtown amenities are a short walk. Several bus lines and the light rail service various parts of Denver and are available within 2 blocks. The kitchen is large and updated with high-end appliances and granite countertops. The fireplace and wood floors are original to the home. The layout is typical of townhomes - lots of stairs. I have many books and movies to keep you entertained. I collect folk art. In good weather you will enjoy my private back garden. Please note that my home is cooled with an evaporative cooler - it keeps the home quite comfortable in summer months and provides much-needed humidity in the dry, Colorado climate. I know that you will love the house and the 'hood! New vegan bakery one block up the street!
Sorry.... not pet-friendly after a bad experience.
I stayed at Julie's home in Denver for 3 days because of a conference I was attending. She is very down to earth and explained everything to me from the closest best places she recommends to helping me get situated there with a tour of the most important place in my opinion - the kitchen (morning tea fix)!! She was very flexible with the check-in time and the house was very comfortable and overall an easy going experience. A really great individual :)
Julie's house was a great place to stay. Her house is beautifully presented and very comfortable. The room was a really good size and having the attached bathroom was a big bonus.
Julie's house is in a great neighbourhood, close to the centre of Denver, and Julie was very helpful with providing directions.
In the morning I had a good chat with Julie over a coffee and bagel.
I only stayed at Julie's house for one night, but I would have loved to stay for longer.
Julie's place is great. Check-in was incredibly easy, and Julie offered some recommendations on where to walk and explore. Her place is well located as I was able to walk to one of Denver's nicest parks and then loop back to a row of restaurants, bars, and coffee shops. The house itself is really nice, and you are afforded a lot of privacy with a private bath that is attached to the bedroom. I only stayed for one night, but Julie and I found some time to talk before I left. She is very friendly, and I felt totally at ease. Would definitely come back.
Julie was a great host. She went above and beyond by looking up nearby Denver B-Cycle locations for us and suggesting places to go in the city. The room was clean and nicely kept, and we were happy to have a private bathroom as well. Would definitely recommend staying with Julie!
