About This Listing
This is a beautiful, romantic, country style terrace apartment located in Trastevere, just beside the magnificent Botanical Garden. It consists of one big and bright open space, bathroom with shower and an amazing terrace preciously hidden between the garden and the house in a space indifferent to time passing by, just like in the deep country. Divided in spacious rooms, it is characterized by the general rustic taste ( which passes through the furniture and the particular all in wood ceiling) and portioned between the cozy living room, one rustically blue tiled bathroom and is equipped with anything one might need: washing machine, iron, kettle, kitchenette, toaster, fridge, wi-fi, shower, hair dryer, heating system, fan, air conditioning, and a total number of beds for 4 people to sleep( divided in one double bed and one sofa bed). What makes the difference about this apartment is its huge terrace which is actually more similar to a real yard, equipped with chairs and two tables to let the costumer have how many fresh air dinners and lunches as he wants, surrounded by the typical roman atmosphere even thanks to the stunning magic of the ambience between the wall-statues and the others wonderfull details. Furthermore, this refinement is situated right in the heart of the most antique part of the city: a few minutes walk from this residence there are the Trastevere's alleys with their vivacity and rich with atmosphere, the Santa Maria in Trastevere church and the Gianicolo's area right at their back where to admire the city's panorama from. This neighborhood is absolutely well linked thanks to the public transportation to the rest of the city and you will reach Saint Peter, the Arch of Costantine, the Colosseum and other marvels without any effort. Choose to live the real Roman spirit and you'll never forget about it
Austere and cosy one roomer in the centre of Rome.
We were just blown away by the location of this 'apartment' that almost was something closer to a cottage. Pietro greeted us when we arrived by a preordered taxi that had picked us up at the airport and showed us the ropes.
The place is very tranquil and a nice get away from the fast paced tempo of this grand city. Don't expect any excesses though. It's austere, to the bone and some things are a bit worn down. But with Rome at your doorstep you don't need a lot of space for cooking or the fanciest bathrooms. A café at the end of the street serves excellent breakfast, well worth visiting.
We highly recommend this place. Its not flawless but extremely cosy and personal. It made our weekend easy and memorable!
We loved the terrace! It's quiet and beautiful. So rare to find something rustic in the heart of Rome. Best for a couple with long relationship.
The apartment is located in a very quiet street in the Trastevere neighborhood. The only sounds you'll hear are from the birds in the botanical garden, which is pretty amazing in a city like Rome. The terrace is beautiful and I can imagine spending even more time there in the summer. The interior is spacious and we loved using the little fireplace. Overall the interior is a little rustic though and the bathroom is quite small, just don't expect a lot of luxury. The owner - Pietro - is very kind and Emiliano was also very helpful. The neighbourhood is lively and it is easy to find a restaurant. The Vatican is less then a 10 minute walk and so is the city centre if you cross one of the bridges over the Tiber river.
