The Space

From its size, this little nook can’t pretend to be lavish and luxurious, but it’s cozy, practical and was just renovated (April 2013)! Situated across the street from a metro stop (Boissiere, line 6), on the first floor (w/ elevator) of a Bourgeois building, at a stone’s throw from the Eiffel tower on Avenue Kléber in a chic neighborhood, this studio has everything you need to recharge your batteries after a long day of walking and visiting the city.

The place is small but has a fully equipped kitchen, a double bed, a bar table for two and plenty of closet space, and wifi internet.

Please note that the bathroom (toilet and shower) is down the hall (three doors down) and is shared with two other people and is regularly cleaned.

I live upstairs in the building and have my home office two doors away from this studio, so there won’t be a problem getting keys and you won’t be left on your own if you encounter a problem.

The studio comes clean and with fresh sheets and towels.

Because of the shared bathroom and its small size, this place is optimal for one person only. However, if you plan to stay awhile, guests are definitely welcome.

  • This is the cutest apartment! We stayed here for 2 weeks and was close to everything. With a short walk to both the Eiffel Tower and the arc de triomphe it's a must stay. The only problem I had was the shower because there was no shower head but after a few days I was use to it.

  • I had a great stay at Charlie's place! The appartment is exactly the way it's described and the pictures show it just as it is. It was clean and will all you would need for a very nice stay, even if you'd want to cook in there! The neighborhood couldn't be better, it's very close to the Eiffel Tower and also close to the Arc de Triomphe, plus the underground station is across the street. The bathroom is down the hall as well, wifi worked perfectly so magic all the way.
Plus, Charlie was the nicest guy. I got in later than expected as there was an issue with the metro line and he was just fine with it. He offered advice on some shopping places around and where to eat, even museums to visit (which I did btw). If this weren't enough, he let me check out very late as there weren't any guests coming in that day. If not he even offered a place to keep my luggage so honestly, 2 thumbs up for a great Paris experience and host!

  • We arrived almost midnight cause of flight time but he didn't mind it! :)
He's small flat in a good location so we can very easily using public transportation.

We had a great time in there :)

  • Charlie is a great host! My flight was delayed for 3 hours, and he waited for me to get to his place even though he had to be somewhere else!

The place is a nice small place, but it has everything I need! But if you are a tall person, you may find it a bit tough to fit in the bed.

The location is very convenient and safe. I would definitely come back again next time!

  • We really couldn't believe how good this place was. Right in the heat of Paris, close to all the attraction you want to see. Had everything you need in terms of cooking, so if you're looking to have a night in/save some coin, you can. We didn't catch the metro or cab once during our stay.

As for Charlie, what a lovely guy. Friendly, helpful and approachable.

Would most definitely recommend! Thanks mate ;)

Recomendo!

  • "This is too good to be true"....That was my first thought when I saw Charlie's apartment here. But turns really was AWESOME! In fact, for the amazing location and condition of the room, this was a true finding. The apartment is located across the street of Boissiére metro station and was exactly as described in the pictures. It was very warm too, so forget the winter pajamas! It was very clean, as well as the shared bathroom, and Charlie was an extremely welcoming host, making us feel at our home. The apartment's location worth the money itself, since it is a 7 minutes walk from Champs Elysee, Arc Tri and Eiffel Tower. Supermarket is just at a few steps and there is an ATM at the door! For all of this, it's virtually impossible to have that amazing accommodation at this price in the expensive Paris. I will recommend this to all my friends who want to know Paris. Thanks for everything Charlie ;)

  • I have just returned from my four months’ stay in Charlie’s apartment on Avenue Kleber.

The apartment itself is exactly as described and shown in the pictures, i.e. small, but comfy and light. It has just been renovated and has a modern feel to it, and it is equipped with everything you need.

The location of the apartment in a very elegant and quiet neighbourhood is absolutely perfect. It is only a short walk to Arc de Triomphe/Champs Elysée in one direction or the Eiffel Tower in the other direction. Apart from the metro station across the street there are two more within walking distance. So you will be able to get virtually everywhere in the city without having to change trains. In addition to being near all the tourist attractions, shopping areas and restaurants, everything you need for a longer-term stay is also close by, i.e. supermarkets, laundromats, or banks.

Charlie was a great host. He provided me with a lot of tips and I really enjoyed our occasional conversations. He was very welcoming and friendly and whenever I encountered a problem or had a question, he was very helpful and took care of everything in a very professional manner.

I can warmly recommend the apartment and would return in a heartbeat. You would have a hard time finding anything like it in this price range that could beat the location.

(For students interested in renting this flat, I can confirm that the lease agreement entitled me to claim CAF)

  • Charlie's studio was PERFECT for our stay in beautiful Paris!!! It was located in an amazing Parisian neighborhood -which felt always safe and secure- across the street were the Metro stop, Boulanger and also close to a supermarket. The Eifel tower, Champs Elysees and Arc Tri were all at a walking distance. You simply could not beat the value that Charlie is offering for the location!! In fact 10 seconds up the street there was 5 star hotel that charges over 200€ a night. His studio literally has everything you need to feel really at home: pots n pans, plates n glasses, towels, hair dryer (which my wife raved about) and even an iron to make sure you don't walk the streets with a wrinkled shirt! Charlie himself was an awesome host! Not only was he very responsive, But was friendly, engaging and made certain we were comfortable. In addition, he took the time to tell us about some hidden gems that we truly enjoyed! We are truly grateful to him and his AWESOME studio! When we comeback..for certain we would like to stay in Charlie's studio!

31 year old entrepreneur living in Paris for over 2 years. I, like many, love travelling. To me, it's beautiful architecture, landscapes and soaking up the culture of the places I visit that get me going. Being from three different cultures myself (US, France and Italy), I feel a need to understand and take part of of nation's rituals and tradition... especially its FOOD!!! Traveling is to me an adventure that needs just a tiny bit of structure. Perhaps an old guide book, or a selection of neighborhoods, sites or restaurants will inspire me to get started, but in the end I always wander off to unplanned territory and find myself at my fullest potential loving every second of my stay.
