We strive to be as flexible as possible, and for this to work we need to know your plans in terms of arrival time and for instance flight number, ferry arrival time or bus. Since we do not live in the Old Town but 30 minutes away. Also really good if you have a cell phone so you can text us on arrival.
The earliest we ask our guests to leave is at 10:00 so we can have the place ready at the very latest 11:00.
All yours, with respect :)
Interaction with Guests
On arrival to the Old City, I will come and meet you at the main entrance "Pile Gates" and take you to the apartment where after a tour we can sit down and I will answer any questions you might have and I can give you a few of my recommendations. Apart from this I am always available - so ask away!
Dubrovnik, the pearl of the Croatian Adriatic, is included in the UNESCO's World Heritage list, and there are 1436 protected historic buildings that testify to it. The historic city of Dubrovnik, the former centre of the Republic of Dubrovnik, is surrounded by a 2 kilometre long city wall that has protected the city for centuries against attacks from the land and sea. A most wonderful city developed within the walls with its numerous churches, palaces, cultural monuments as well as the Stradun, the famous promenade, where you can see people from all over the world, young and old alike, which used to be the scene of all major happenings in the past. The proximity of numerous islands, the clean sea, the rich natural and cultural heritage, the Mljet National Park, the old historic villas and promenades, are some of the features that make the Dubrovnik Riviera one of the most attractive destinations in Croatia.
The Old City is a pedestrian zone only, but only 2 minutes walking is the main bus / taxi stops, as well as sea kayaking. And 4 minutes away is the Old City harbour with excursions and transfers to e.g. Lokrum Island or Cavtat Bay
We were welcomed kindly by Maro even though we were a bit late. They told us that there was a problem with the apartment we rented and we were being taken to another place. This initially made us nervous but we ended up with much upgraded accommodations. We had an amazing stay and the rooms we had were very modern, incredibly clean, and absolutely perfect for our group. The location was excellent, right off of the main street inside of the city walls. He gave us some recommendations for restaurants and we went to several of them and they were excellent, so I would trust his suggestions if he gives them to you.
A perfect place for a short stay in Dubrovnik. Close to a wine bar..I.e. Across street and you hear all the hustle and bustle of the day and night.. Its a great location to explore Dubrovnik old town for a couple of days.
Great house and location ! We stayed only one night.
The owner was not there on the check in and the check out.
Great location in the Old-town. The apartment is really nice and roomy. I would definitly recommend this place your stay in Dubrovnik.
My husband, friend, and I had a wonderful experience with Maro and his apartment. We were very, very late the night of our arrival because of traffic, but Maro was so understanding and patient. He ended up meeting us really late at night and even helping with our luggage. He was a very attentive host and we always had plenty of clean sheets and towels.
The apartment itself is clean, well appointed, and charming. We had plenty of space. The views from the balcony are so beautiful, and early in the evening we could hear musicians below the balcony, which was just beautiful. The location is perfect--very close to Pile Gate where you can reach buses and taxis and also the Old Port where you can find boats to Lokrum Island and Cavtat Bay. It was also very nice to have so many restaurants and shops so close to the apartment. We would love to stay here again next time we are in Dubrovnik! I highly recommend this apartment.
A very nice stay downtown!! Perfectly across the wine bar and some other nice joints around the front door. Maro is a supportive person, providing good service and great tips about the city. Clean and well furnished.
Maro's flat is charming and in a great location in Old Town. The apartment was very clean, and the balcony is fantastic! He provided helpful suggestions of places to visit. There are great restaurants and a wine bar just steps from the apartment.
