Walk to the U of A, UMC, or 4th ave

House - Private room · East 6th Street, Tucson, AZ 85719, United States

A cute, cozy room. Comfortable and clean. Plenty of natural light, or close the blinds, and be in a nice cool dark room. I have AC, no swamp cooler here! Shady, relaxing, and surprisingly cool backyard with a big Mesquite tree, and interesting desert life. Two adults and a child max. There are two dogs here. They're friendly.

The Space

The room would be great for single, a couple, and can accommodate a pet, or baby. All are welcome. Even if you're just here to root against the Wildcats ;)

Guest Access

The house is open to you in every way, except my personal room. Please feel free to eat whatever is here. You'll be given a key, and can come and go as you please. Late nights, early mornings, no problem.

Interaction with Guests

I may or may not be present during your stay. I work a lot, and go to school. When I am away there is always someone available to assist you, if you'd need it, and I'm able to be contacted at anytime.

The Neighborhood

Walking distance to the University of Arizona! I love this neighborhood! I've lived in the U of A area for 7 years, in this house for about 4 years. I've never had any problems with neighbors, or noise.

Getting around

I live right on a public transit line. There's plenty of parking. For those of you just needing to get around the U of A, I do have a bike you may use. Also, food, and markets within walking distance. This is located right in the middle of Tucson. I can pretty much get to any side of town in 25 min max, and that's heading to the very outskirts. Close to downtown, U of A, convention center, botanical gardens, and many other fun places. Why bother renting a car?

  • OMG !!! I just love Momoko ! I feel so at ease and at home there ~ my Daughter goes to U of A and loves to come wherever I am for home-cooked meals, and
'Momo' is happy to smell the foods and has never made me feel, in any way, that
    I wasn't welcome ~ She's such an easy-going person and sharing a bathroom wasn't a biggie what-so-ever ~ Let's not forget about her adorable puppies, that
are already more mannered than my full grown dogs !!! That's my home when I come to Tucson ~ Thank You, Momo ! (there just can't be a nicer, more accommodating host/ess !!! Much love !

  • Momoko was an excellent host! She was responsive, polite, clean, attentive and overall just a great person. I would recommend anyone staying with her. The room was very clean and Momoko always provided fresh sheets. The bathroom is shared but I never had a problem using it when I needed and Momoko kept everything in the house very spic and span. I would love to stay with her once again.

  • This was a great pick for my visit to University of Arizona - Tucson! Extremely affordable (especially for the quality of the room) and comfortable space with an excellent hostess. There was a closet, dresser, TV, and wifi, all of which added to the experience. The location is within reasonable walking distance of U of A as well as a good number of restaurants and it's a quiet area. Momoko was extremely friendly and offered lots of accommodations and made suggestions of places to eat in the area, so I highly recommend staying here. An excellent fit for an individual traveler for sure and easy to get to if you are on foot a lot during your stay.

  • The house is super nice and clean, the room is no exception, the bed is extra comfy, it really is cozy. There are loads of books in the room for that you can read.
Momoko is the nicest person you can find, she drove me everywhere I needed to go and tried to help me with everything she could.

If you are looking for a place to stay in Tucson, Az, look no more, this is definitely it. I know I will go back if I ever visit Tucson again.

I don't do this professionally. I'm just trying to make ends meet while I'm in school. Thank you for checking my listing. Hello, I'm a student here in Tucson working towards my RN. I currently work as a CNA at a local hospital. I also run my own business doing balloon art, entertainment for children's parties, and decorating for events. I am a Tucson native, born and raised! I can help you experience Tucson and introduce you to it's local hidden treasures. I am able to speak basic Spanish, and have access to a Japanese translator (My Mother). I am 32 years old, and have lived in this house for a little over 3 years now. Can't wait to meet you, Momo
