A stunning house, with fantastic hosts, creating a very inviting and relaxed atmosphere. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay here, and was sad to leave.
The room was fresh, impeccable and inviting, as was the rest of the house. Breakfast was fresh and healthy, and it was lovely to meet other guests around the big dining table.
Lots of local information was given, Annemarie, Jesse and Jocelyn truly do want you as their guest to enjoy your stay.
Other additional benefits was the ability to use the laundry facilities and the discounted aquarium tickets.
For any friends visiting the area, I'll be recommending this Air BnB.
Thank you, Annemarie, Jessie and Jocelyn.
This was not my first visit to this stately historic house but it was my best yet. The location is great, convenient to Monterey, Carmel, Big Sur, and the Elkhorn Slough. The house is lovely, with a beautiful garden, a wonderful dining room, and comfy stylish rooms.
The hosts pay such attention to their guests and the property. Their care shows in everything from the homemade granola to the flowers in each room.
I had an exceptional lovely time in Monterey! The room I spent four nights was very nice and clean and exactly like shown in the pictures. Each day started with a nice and healthy breakfast. I enjoyed to chat to Jocelyne and the other guests. Jocelyne helped me out with information about the area, directions or suggestions on daytrips and restaurants! I would always go back to the Historic Landmark House!! Thanks a lot!
Right down to the detail. From the water jug in your room just in case you get thirsty at night to the paintings on the wall. Everything was well thought out. The simplicity of living is found in this house with a character from the past. Worth the stay to experience what truly is a historic home. Morning breakfast was as good as my stay. The vibe was purely peaceful and cheery.
This was my first airbnb experience and I couldn't have asked for a more charming place. Jocelyne and Jesse are very welcoming, warm, helpful hosts (Annemarie was away, so I didn't meet her), and the house is stunningly beautiful, full of artworks and antiques, everything arranged with loving attention to detail. Everyone had breakfast at the same big table, so guests and hosts mingled and there was chatting all across the table which was nice. Bed, bath, views, wifi, parking, garden, nosy cat - all very fine. Don't miss the gorgeous fresh fruit salad! All in all: highly recommended!
